Whaaaaat? I didn't see him as a starter either! Either way I ended up with pika, char, squirtle, and an ivysaur (still need bulba) so I'm pretty happy
You have to NOT choose the basic 3 and walk away from them. The first other pokemon you encounter will be pikachu

For once it actually doesn't suck being an Australian. We had the game a day before most others. I'm up to level 7, 35 caught pokemon, own a gym(team instinct4lyfe), have evolved a dodrio and a kakuna with two eggs incubating.
HUZZAH

This is pretty rad!
Right up my alley music wise. Next pay day I'll put an order in

I work at pub life kitchen in ultimo.
We salt cure our beef, dry age it in house, then we have our own butcher form the meat daily. We do it all ourselves.
200gram patties, we do it right. Served medium rare-medium. Good shit -
Warriors lose by 17..... to the lakers?!

Come and hang out with me. I live in Enmore which is a 5 minute walk to Newtown. We have several records stores that will cater to every taste.
Newtown is a 10 minute bus ride to the Sydney CBD where the harbour bridge, opera house, circular quay and darling harbour is.
Any idea where you're staying?
Taronga zoo is a good time. Catch a ferry from circular quay over the harbour to the taronga wharf. Takes about 10 minutes. Another good day out is walking from the opera house, over the bridge to luna park. It's a coney island style fun park with a few rides and the best ferris wheel in the world.
There also a ridiculous number of amazing bars, pubs and restaurants. I work at a place that makes (IMO)sydneys best burgers. It's set inside a pub that began in 1881.And far too many national park walks/hikes/scenery thing to even mention that are a short drive away.
And theres also another two wildlife parks about 45 minutes drive too, where you can feed our native animals, hold snakes, baby crocodiles etc.. -
White vinyl sounds like crap, i stay away from it if i can
Because black vinyl has more soul.

I'm going to have a guess here.
You're using cheap powered speakers and the turntable isn't grounded
-
Can we ban this guy?
-
Actually I just checked the side1dummy store, and all the smith street albums are for sale there.
-
Smith street is all available from the poison city webstore. Also Asianman has US pressings from memory of the first two LPs plus the don't fuck with our dreams EP.
Violent soho is available from side1dummy.
As is the newest smith street album throw me in the river.

The rega planar 2 was the entry level when it was released. If it has the rb250 arm, and it's a bit cheaper than the others. Buy it. That arm is better than the rb202 on the current rp1 and the debut carbon.
If the planar 2 has another arm, You'd have to revaluate

Does anyone remember the 6130 record club subscription
What label is supporting them nowadays?
I can't remember and I'm on my phone, so can't use the search very well. But I seem to remember a shit ton of users here getting burnt by them. And getting fucking idiotic replies.
Something about glass houses is being written here. And how shady labels are always going to be around

I'd actually like to wear this for xmas breakfast/lunch. Any chance you can just go ahead, print mine and ship it off ASAP?
Being on the other side of the world from all of this craziness, it's not lost on me. We have a gigantic problem with our indigenous folk mysteriously dying in custody. Yet no police officer has ever been charged.
I'll also happily share this
-
I'm in on this.
I don't have the money to really splurge, but there are far too many that have lost their lives due to shitty circumstances that certainly don't have a chance to buy one
-
I mean it will probably improve your sound some. the more you can separate components, generally the better the sound. your TT is handling the phono stage now so using a seperate piece of equipment to do that should be an improvement
I agree with this in principle.
But for people on a serious budget. It would likely be best to minamise the amount of interchanges. As there would likely be very cheap interconnects too.
So until you're willing to drop coin on decent equipment, I'd say better off, less is more. Instead of spending more cash on cheap separate gear. Just buy a good quality integrated amp, and go from there
-
It arrived. Pretty stoked on its condition for such a cheap buy. And a piece of formerly expensive equipment.
Now it's a rega planar 2, luxman k111 cassette deck, luxman lv113 integrated amp. Next I'll patiently wait for a luxman phone pre, and a luxman CD player to make this all kinds of rad.
I do need far better interconnects too. The tape to amp are 15yo $2 shop specials.
-
I just bought a luxman k111 cassette deck for $30 delivered from the other side of Australia.
Allegedly in perfect working order.
I'm actually excited to get it in my hands and use it. So much 90s nostalgia will be unleashed

I bought some records on eBay, I live in Australia. Is the eBay worldwide shipping centre in kentucky? Or did my package get delivered 6,000 miles in the wrong direction?
-
my real name is drake and if i hear one more thing about the rapper my head might explode
You could change your name to 'the rake' and avoid all that
-
Not shooting down your opinion Jase- but could it be something else in the chain? For a speaker to be completely lacking... makes me wonder. Bad synergy between components? Or just overall a crap speaker?
It was at the store I tried them. Concept 1's sounded weak, and the 2's great. Same setup just different speakers.
I bought the 2's and I like them enough

I've only got two cruisers left. I did have a bunch of creature decks.
One is a Duane peters black
Label deck. 9" indys, bones reds and spitfire 60mm classics.
The other is a mates skate store generic deck. 7 3/4 wide and the concave is similar to the creature decks I owned. The stores generic trucks, generic ceramic bearings and zsmooth 63mm soft wheels. The ceramics are dangerously quick

What's yr opinions on Dali Concept 1? MIne are pretty good, but I kinda wish there was a bit more oomph. I do run a sub though, and with that extra little help, the soundstage is very nice.
http://www.dali-speakers.com/en-US/Loudspeakers-1/CONCEPT-1.aspx
I've got a set of concept 2. The concept 1 were just lacking in bass, mid and high end. While the concept 2 aren't perfect, they sure are much better than the 1's.
If you get lucky, you MIGHT be able to still find a set in JB hifi, but all my local JB's have moved on to the zensor line as the concept has been discontinued.
If you know anyone that works at JB, hit them up for a staff discount, and it'll be very worth your while. If not, just go in and ask for their best price, grumble a bit then ask them to throw in some speakerwire for the same price and buy them

Question: do you have this sharpie?
If yes do a test. Try isopropyl alcohol or acetone (nail polish remover should do) on some surface and check if those remove it. You should use extensive amount to "wash" signed part of record. Paint is in the grooves. This may work but there is high risk that some residues of paint will stay in grooves and affect sound.
If you make anything with it please share your expirience.
If they still have the sharpie, sell it on eBay. Because it's obviously a very rare piece of music history now that it's touched a special edition limited vinyl of only 500 pink specialz editions world wide!!!!
