anyway, the situation sucks here in huntington beach. cases keep going up, people are getting nasty and confrontational when asked to wear a mask or keep a distance. there’s a bunch of businesses that don’t comply and now have employees testing positive. yet, since OC beaches and bars are still open, i think people from neighboring counties will be crowding our beach and downtown district.

i don’t have a problem staying home and my husband can work from home most of the time but i’m stressed about what my kid’s fall is going to look like. 😕

which i know is a lie because people here have posted about getting it in their local stores. 

RevHQ told me they don't get them until monday either. i'm gonna touch base with them then but it just seems that shipments are sporadic in general. being as i don't have and haven't received shipping notification regarding my flesh copy either.

the ducks losing was amazingly lolz. 4 division chamionships in a row along with 4 game 7 losses in a row?! geez. that's rough to watch. half of me thinks the game 7 curse gabby is carrying is hilarious, the other half feels bad for him. getzlaf and perry failed him and i honestly think they rushed gibson starting 2 yrs ago. guy is good but needs more time. switching to andersen at game 3 was too late.

same. everything feels weird. I like them. I have tickets to the show on Thursday. half of me feels compelled to go in case it's the last show. other half just doesn't care. I saw them in November (but only a 30 min set), I'm old and it's a weekday night on drinko de mayo with about an hour drive into LA for me. i think I'll make my decision about going after seeing how the next few shows go.

that is really surprising about cutting Katie cassidy's character. are they gonna have Sarah come back every now and then to fill the black canary hole...? they sort of addressed that when she got offered the DA job and it was said that she didn't need to grieve over Sarah's death anymore through masked vigilantism. I totally thought her last chat with Oliver was indicating a plan with a magic potion, too. oh well!

Laurel is one of those characters you know will not die throughout the entire show.

my husband and i were huge fans of sense field.  we used to (and still do) send mixes with sense field songs on them to each other.  pretty gutted.  what a shitty year for musicians going this is turning out to be.

I may be in the minority here but I went with my wife to his show featuring the Crowes and they played a bunch of stuff off this album, some Horrible Crowes stuff, some material he previous released on his own, and a cover or two. We didn't stay the entire set because eventually we got bored and the show was full of drunk bros. I honestly am a little biased because Sink or Swim blew me away and once 59' Sound came out I didn't feel the same about them. I did like the Horrible Crowes material but this had more of a "classic rock" feel so I wasn't impressed.

TL;DR - If you were bored then, you'll be bored now. It was meh.

other than warhen's post, has anyone seen his recent solo show and think it's REALLY worth a go? i like half of gaslight's studio work, like his solo work and am contemplating seeing him when he comes to town feb 17.  i saw the gaslight anthem back in 2008 when they played with thrice and alkaline trio and i was way bored by their set, which was disappointing.  i'd be willing to go to the show featuring him and "the crowes" (which is what the show is billed as) if it's going to be more entertaining...  what i'm asking is how does it compare to GLA circa '08 (or now? i wouldn't know, i haven't given it another chance)?

legends kind of bored me.  too much going on with all the different characters.  i loathingly watched heroes reborn and that had too much going on with each character's arc, too.  i'll give it another chance with the next episode or 2 since the first is always an intro, but i might drop it.

my husband says the same about the flashbacks in arrow.  he doesn't like them.  personally, i enjoy them and i think it contributes to the story overall.  i was really not into the lazarus pit thing with thea coming back and then sarah.  i'm glad ra's al ghul's daughter destroyed it.  i'm intrigued by damien darhk's character.  no idea who's in the grave, but diggle or lance are good guesses.  can't see it being laurel or thea.
