Agree, they really have redefined what a shit band is.

Totally in for a VC Minecraft server! Not that I get much spare time but would love to play that game with a bunch of people instead of alone in a big old world.

Hmmm. The records don't seem to be getting extra dusty and I always give them a brush before playing. Might see about getting a cork mat.

Why then did they not make the whole of the second record at 45? Side c only has Man The Ramparts on it so I would have thought it would fit at 45.

Everything in my system seems to work fine, well apart from the speakers, and even they are fine, just not very good but I digress. Sometimes when going to pick up the tone arm I get a small static electric shock from it. This never used to happen but since I changed my amp from an older not so great one to a new, all the mod cons included, one this seems to be happening. Its not really a massive problem, the shocks are very small and I can barely feel them. I can sometimes see a small spark though.

Just wondering if there is anything I should be worried about here or just keep going as I am.

I have a Goldring GR1 turntable with an Ortophon 2m Red cartridge on it and a Rotel RA12 amp if this makes any difference.

Just wondering if there are many 2 x LP's out there that have differing play speeds for the different sides. I have one like this, Botch - We Are The Romans. Side D plays at 45RPM while the rest play at 33 1/3. Why would they make it this way?

While I fully agree with you that these fucknuggets deserve nothing better than to be rubbed down vigorously by a man with a cheese grater they are just too much of an easy target for this thread you know?  I come here to read some outlandish bullshit about how some dude doesn't like Converge, or Baroness or some other band that is loved on here (Not me, I'm into both those awesome bands) and then see the bile explosion directed their way.

Not trying to be a dick or anything but selling on here generally needs to be at less than you can get it for on Discogs, not almost 3 times as much. I don't think you are going to have any biters at that price.

You should get that Botch / Knut / Ananda split 10". There's one on Discogs for $20. I remember finding it in a used bin for $6. What a day.

Considered it but I already have the songs on other LPs and I'm not hugely into 7" or 10" collecting. Only so much you can do with limited funds right?

Not a variant collector or anything, and they are not impressive at all but I'm happy to have these collections.

Got that copy of Bastardiser recently to complete my collection on Knut albums and I feel like I have all the Botch I am likely to ever have.

I think record labels should stick to it what they first promise. What's the point investing in music (or vinyl) nowadays when every song is freely available?

If you "invest" in vinyl then, like any other form of investment need know when sell, and that time is now for this record, also, not wanting others to enjoy having something that you have, just so your copy is rare is a bit of a shitty position to come from.

If they do repress I'm sure something will be different about the new package so there will still only be 10000 copies of what you bought.
