  5. Hey we added another 7 inch to the store. Man is this one is a doozy. Quantis/Coma Regalia Split 7'' (Middle Man Records) 1st Press >500 This split 7'' is what would happen if Louis Cyphere and Pg 99 ever got together and had two (very, very, very, very depressed) children...that then formed bands which did a split 7'' with each other. Quantis, a Malaysian based outfit in the tradition of The Kodan Armada/Jeromes Dream etc, keeps it aggressive and in your face with lyrics that are sure to bum you out. Exploding with energy and passion, this band makes very interesting musical choices that are familiar enough to draw you in without ever getting boring! Coma Regalia draws heavily from that Orchid brand of punk and even as a duo, manages to bring a chaotic and layered sound to the table. Over 3 frenetic tracks, this group never lets the energy drop for even one beat, and they bring it all home with a last chord/chant that will leave you wanting more (which you can get on their upcoming release...which we'll be carrying). Each of these 7''s feature die cut/stenciled/hand screened covers and a cool cardboard insert courtesy of Middle Man Records. Super DIY, and certainly a release you should check out! You can purchase it here for $4 http://insrgntny.bigcartel.com/product/quantis-coma-regalia-split-7-middle-man-records-1st-press-500
  6. Items added from Robotic Empire!!!! Pygmy Lush "Bitter River" LP (RoboticEmpire) >900 ($10) Sterling, Virginia's PYGMY LUSH debut with an album serving as the culmination of every influence these fine young men have ever had, all wrapped around each other to create what essentially sounds like a seasoned band covering a solid mixtape. Bitter River is 16 songs that span nearly the entire underground/independent music spectrum... ranging from tracks that sound like THE BLACK HEART PROCESSION to BORN AGAINST to TOM WAITS to THE JESUS LIZARD to BOB DYLAN to ONE EYED GOD PROPHECY to NIRVANA to ... you get the picture, right? This is an incredibly varied album but it works surprisingly well, as the five fellows of PYGMY LUSH have cut their teeth on some of Northern Virginia's most influential punk/hardcore bands of the last decade or so including PG.99, MAJORITY RULE, MALADY, CITY OF CATERPILLAR, CRESTFALLEN, and HISSING CHOIR. Employer Employee - S/t self titled LP >300 ($12) Early pioneers of mixing metal, punk, grind and hardcore, Austin, Texas' EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEE were almost TOO ahead of their time... blowing away the few that "got it", leaving the rest slack-jawed and stunned. We were lucky enough to release the sic[sic] CD followup to their classic debut EP, Mother Spain and the Wayfaring Myth. Both of which comprise this stunning discography release. Recorded back in 1998 and 2000, seriously think for a minute about what you were doing during that timeframe. These guys were busy pushing envelopes left and right, doing things that may seem somewhat commonplace today, but were generally weird and/or unheard of back in those days. EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEE were one of the few bands that flawlessly incorporated both low, growly vocals AND dissonant melody within hardcore music... and beyond that, they actually constructed damn good songs utilizing additional elements pulled from punk, metal and grindcore influences. The audio has been carefully re-mastered from the original tapes... and ten blistering songs that stand the test of time are the result of many years of work. The hair-standing lyrics are still just as vital today as in they days which they were written, accompanying waves of distorted yet lush guitars, completely frantic and unique drumming, plus a general energy and passion that is hard sought and much coveted. To put it lightly, EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEE were a band of rare quality. Aaron Turner's original sic[sic] layout has been meticulously reconstructed for this vinyl discography. Keeping the feel and theme in mind, the imagery has been modified to spread across two LP-sized panels of a three-color silkscreened jacket (printed by Broken Press, a photo can be seen here). Also included is a double sided insert, cloth patch and 1" button! All copies come on clear colored vinyl and the entire pressing is limited to just 300 copies. A lot of thought and time has gone into the presentation of this release, as it is the last will and testament to a band from another era. EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEE left a lasting impression on us that started over a decade ago, and we're honored to present this discography for your enjoyment. We hope you'll take something from it as well. Cassettes Pygmy Lush - Cold World Pygmy Lush - Bitter River Pygmy Lush/Turboslut split $5 individual or $13.75 for all 3 >150 These will go on sale around 7 pm tonight. Pick these releases up for super cheap!!!!
  7. INSRGNT[arts] is going to be doing a little giveaway each month for all of our customers! This month, 10 people will at random receive a limited edition poster from The Saddest Landscape's "After The Lights" record release show. This is a really radical design (check out their Facebook profile picture to see it!) and how fucking sweet is it to have TSL, Loma Prieta AND Birds In Row all on ONE poster? Too sweet to quantify? We thought so. All of our stock is still TEN DOLLARS OR LESS. Check back for new releases later this week! http://insrgntny.bigcartel.com/ You can contact us on our Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/pages/INSRGNT-Arts/115929735160540
  8. I am looking for cycles on Blue and the Test Press limited to /35. Would love to buy them so I complete my Cycles collection.
  9. Thanks. I agree it is a great record but ill just grab any pressing I can find I need me the money for the time being.
  10. Because it is the rarest pressing. limited to 100.
  11. Shut the fuck up. Seriously all of the whiners shut up. What Bridge nine did was awesome. Just shut up about it. End of story.
  12. People just need to stop complaining. I work for my money too. I chose to spend it on bridge nine, a great fucking label mind you. Just chill and know you got punked like a little bitch and deal with it.
  13. I think their prices are completely fair! If you have not noticed. Hydrahead Releases are amazing. The jackets are thick and heavy, all of their records are 180g and colored(most of the time), and all of the stuff they release is incredible. Im glad they are the ones pressing botch, daughters, isis, cave in, and other fucking awesome bands. Im not even a huge fan of them but regardless what they put out is wonderful and for a few extra bucks to get a release that is all around well done is worth it.
