  1. It's worth it. But

Anyone that needs to get this and The National's other great albums on wax should consider going to PopMarket today. $72 for Alligator, Boxer, High Violet and Trouble Will Find Me (the only four National albums you need):

Good deal. But black Friday is next week and last year there were all kinds of crazy deals. I'm gonna try and score these then.

  2. The CA ones are will call but you can pick them up earlier I think.

I don't think so. The band is very aware of what is going on with scalpers and tickets prices. They even changed the policy of being able to change the name associated to will call. Whatever name the Observatory has on file is the name of the person who can pick up the tickets.

  3. Do they ever do both? Just the concert.

It's awesome, it's a tiny little area so even if your in the back you're close. Lately they make it so if you buy the CD there you get it signed by the band afterword.

Yeah. If you attend the show, they record the show, then take the audience out back to watch the concert. That was always what I did. I didn't like having to stand around for hours. Sometimes its cool though because during sound check the band normally plays a bunch of songs they don't play for the actual performance. You used to be able to just show up and stand at the top of the parking structure behind the crowd but they don't let you do that anymore.

  4. Guess I'm seeing Fall Out Boy tomorrow at Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kinda excited, but we'll see. No shows planned for the future yet though unfortunately!

Going to the show or just the concert?

I used to do it all the time in 2004-2006. It was really easy to get tickets. Saw The Killers 3 nights in a row for the Sam's Town release.

  5. So my girlfriend just moved in. I've never lived with a girlfriend before and she has never lived with a boyfriend. She was really worried about moving into my place because I'm kind of anal about my stuff and she didn't think I was going to be open about bringing all her stuff in. I have been very open to everything and it seems to be going well. I think compromise is very important in this situation.

For now, everything is great. Any tips on how to keep it great for the long run?

  6. The Orlando show was awesome last week. Only home state show on the tour for NFG so they played extra songs from Nothing Gold Can Stay in the encore.

I went to the Sticks and Stones 10 year tour in Pomona. I told my friends that all I wanted them to play was 2's and 3's. Sure enough, Jordan said they were gonna play a really old song and they fucking played it. I lost my shit.

I've seen NFG 20+ times and have never been disappointed.

  7.

    To our fans and friends,

The recent shows we played around and including the Riot Fests in Colorado and Chicago were such a great time for us and we wanted to thank you all for the response, once again, to our erratic and spontaneous show scheduling. We had so much fun. So much, in fact, that we all decided we would like to do a few more shows before the end of the year. And since we have been working on some new material, we decided that it would be fun to try to go back and play all of our previous material.

  8. The Killers- Sam's Town is one of my favorite albums ever. It's the first record I had because a friend bought it for me because she knew I loved the Killers. I don't know if its just my copy that was abused in my room for 3 years before I started seriously listening to vinyl, but that album sounds TERRIBLE.

Does anyone else have this album? Can confirm that it sounds bad or did I just ruin my copy by not taking care of it at all for a few years?
