  1. missing Daniel Johnston and Jacuzzi Boys/Peelander Z tonight (have to go home for my Grandmother's funeral tomorrow).  RVIVR tomorrow night.  Chelsea Light Moving/Merchandise wednesday night.  The Banditos thursday night.  The Sidekicks/Younger Siblings (for a soft opening of a brand new record store my buddies' are opening) then Motion City Soundtrack Sunday night. next Monday Pianos Become The Teeth/United Nations/Code Orange Kids/Wild Moth, next Tuesday King Khan & the Shrines, next Friday Tera Malos/Zorch/Shapes Like Dinosaurs

     

    this past week: Sunday 20th Neutral Milk Hotel/Elf Power, Monday 21st Arliss Nancy/PJ Bond/Henry Dunkle/Andrew Schwartz (Dolarhyde/The Fourth Estate), Tuesday 22nd Big Freedia, Wednesday 23rd J. Roddy Walston, Thursday 24th Langhorne Slim/Jonny Fritz (Jonny Corndawg), Friday 25th Cave/Plains, Saturday 26th Wray, (unfortunately) stayed in last night (Sunday the 27th) after work and missed Crystal Stilts

     

     

    additionally I'll be missing FunFunFunFest in Austin....have a free weekend pass I can't use because I can't afford to get out there nor can I afford to be out of work again....bummer, would love to finally see Slayer,  Descendants, Television, Narrows, and Dismemberment Plan

  2. I saw MS MR last week at the Independent in SF. They were really good! Sounded just like the album and they had a lot of energy.

     

    Saw Surfer Blood at the Independent in SF a couple nights ago and it was...not so good. They were just super boring up on stage. Everyone in the crowd looked like they were falling asleep. My girlfriend was finding it hard to stay awake.

     

    Saw NFG/ALK3 at the Warfield the day after Surfer Blood. It was AWESOME. NFG played first and then ALK3. Seriously like a high school wet dream. 2 of my favorite bands of all times. They had the black/yellow variant of Kill it Live and a bunch of t-shirts for both bands. They also have a limited edition /500 print for sale for $45. Only 20 are being sold at each show. I picked one of those up and can't wait to frame it.
