Mine wasnt a break up with a girl, but it might as well of been. My best friend of 24 years moved away from my small, desolate desert town. It was raining as I was seeing him off, and I listening to Enter by Russian circles driving away. I lost it when "you already did" came on. Just pulled over and cried listening to that album on repeat. I'm lucky to exist on a planet where people can make music like that.

Got an e-mail back from merch direct basically saying "we weren't sent enough stock from solid state and you've been refunded and not getting a record". safe to say I won't be using solid state or merch direct again. useless bunch of t-wats.

Not a rant at all. An extreme sales drop would/should drop prices in theory, but also cause a lot of labels to pull out of the business if they weren't taking much in. 

Exactly. I know it's a scary thought, but the scenario you proposed might be needed to trim the fat a little. It'll definitely be interesting to see.

So whats the solution to lowering the price of records?

Technically, there is none. Boycotting is a cute idea, but the reality of the matter is we'll have to wait for the "vinyl bubble" to pop before we see lower prices. But they've been saying that for years now, and with the advent eBay, I don't think things will ever be the same. I like to relate it to minimum wage, it's always going to go up to calibrate with cost of living expenses. Sorry for the rant.

Well..if it was anything like slip, REALLY fucking slow. But everyone got a copy and lived happily ever after.

so i slept with a friend last night for the third time. i think this may have been a big mistake.

we've had a good thing going with the clique we've been running with lately, and this very well could have complicated things.

after the last time this happened, her friend gave me a kind warning to be careful with her, which i interpreted as her saying not to abuse the situation, and that she probably has some sort of feelings for me. so up until last night, i was careful, and never let things get carried away. and i also never mentioned any other girls in the picture, just in case.

so after the bar last night, we all went back to an apartment, drank, smoked, listened to drake. and as the night/morning went on, she was definitely making advances. eventually that put us in the same bed.

and it wasn't just us... because our friends that were with us did the same in the next room. so again, fucking with the group dynamic.

but the worst part was waking up, both naked, and me just fully torqued already... so i made a bid for morning sex, and got rejected. without saying a word, she wrapped up in a blanket, left the room, and then kind of disappeared in the apartment. i was just left to kind of get dressed and mosey on home.

 

and while i was typing this, she texted me asking if i was alive. which makes me question that little episode back there.

Man, you know how to paint a picture..that entire scenario sounded like a postal service song. I don't think things are as dire as they would seem. Besides the denied bid for morning sex, theres not a whole lot of "fat" for this situation to bite onto..in other words, don't make more of it then what it already is. Just be your usual suave self about it.

Movie was solid. Hood scene and some of Sam Jackson's lines cracked me up (pan-ass). Trying to figure out where it ranked against other QT movies. Pulp Fiction is the best. I liked Django better than the rest I think (yes, including Reservoir Dogs).

That was a pretty funny read.
