This is a sampling of the range of colors in the pressing... not the best picture but hopefully you guys get the idea. True, but that dude, and this one both have "a box full of signed memorabilia" that they're giving out with orders. The guy that did the Height claimed it all got lost in the mail, and never actually gave them out, though. EDIT: looks like it really did get lost in the mail! Yeah, it eventually bounced back to John who sent it over to me for this release. Guess the other guy's off the hook for that portion of the Height debacle.

Hey guys, This is Mike from Collective Confusion Records. I wanted to let you guys know we're running a sale on John Nolan's Songs I Wrote. Its now $9.99 in our webstore. I know this release flew under the radar a bit, but each copy is painstakingly HAND NUMBERED out of 500. It's on randomly mixed vinyl... and we've got a rainbow of colors left. This is not a pre-order, records are in hand and ready to go out ASAP. To sweeten the pot, I've got a few test presses and bizarro test presses (with the wrong track order) that I will be randomly putting into orders. I've also got a box full of signed memorabilia like guitar picks, setlists, posters, stickers, etc that will also be given out. You can check it out here.http://collectiveconfusionrecords.bigcartel.com/product/john-nolan-songs-i-wrote-lp I just set up a BUNDLE package, get both Collective Confusion releases for $15 total. Anyone that ordered both records before right now will get a partial refund of 4 bucks or so. There are a few Hailey tests that will go out with the bundles/Hailey orders as well. If you haven't heard them, check them out at http://www.purevolume.com/haileyithappens Here's a sample of the brown swirl:

He'd definitely need to put up at least 50% of the total cost before they'll make the tests. The records themselves are the cheapest part of the process.... the cutting/mastering etc process is the expensive and time consuming part. Once the tests are made, everything should be done within a few weeks. That being said, I haven't done anything as big as this project, so the amount of money put down could be lower. In my experience the smaller the press the more the plants want up front.

PO: I Can Make A Mess - Gold Rush LP
collectivemike replied to Kjm23's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
you have to post it yourself in this thread or you are full of shit. no way around doing it that way. any other way and you are full of shit. all i hear is lame excuse after lame excuse. want to be the only one to defend someone the majority thinks is a complet and utter douchebag with no actual proof of what you say other than your full of shit word... Easy fella. Don't get all worked up. -
I dont think there was a preorder. I know Ryan was really disappointed with the quality of those LH 10th anniversary pressings. Not sure if he had any say in whether or not this got cancelled. Also Rock N Roll was cancelled as well. Yeah that's what I figured, I'd be surprised if Ryan was the reason it didn't come out... not because he hated the quality of Gold, but because he and Lost Highway had/have such a strained relationship. My Rock N Roll is still holding up though, so I'm fine with that.

everyone that ordered the 180g w/ lyrics page one yes. it's the yellow one That's good, I haven't gotten mine yet but the only thing that kept me from canceling my order was the promise of another copy. I've got the same story as everyone else (no responses after multiple emails etc) so hopefully they get their act together in the future. -
