Converge variant of Dropdead split: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171384956285

Saddest Landscape - After the Light release show: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171384968845
Final day. No bids on Saddest Landscape (which is gorgeous) and I may have the most secure box ever for shipping RAGC. Converge/Dropdead is just unique and pretty. Hate that I need to get rid of these records, honestly.

They may have sold out of Nocturnes tonight. Only had two left after I bought one at the beginning of the show. Poor Emma tripped on her way to the stage, but didn't let that ruin her amazing performance. Wish I had the kind of cash to pick up Buzz/Melvins stuff, along with art from everyone.

Need to order. I'm very into this band. Everyone should be.

I need to get back in touch with my old high school art teacher. I keep thinking it would be fun to do a talk or demo since I've graduated uni. Been feeling bummed lately though, so my consistency has suffered. Need to force myself into the groove again of drawing daily. Only working when "inspired" doesn't pay the bills, unfortunately.

Solid list of upcoming releases. Anybody know anything about Night School?

That being said indie retail only has 2 out of the 15 total archival releases.
Looking forward to seeing which all releases encompass the 15. I have some hopes there's some older vinyl releases that have been long oop in there.

I'm liking the second song a lot more. My intrigue is up for seeing how this release works as a whole.

Ordered just the box fairly early and am still waiting on shipping. I'm guessing they found out about the pressing error and wanted to fix it before sending out the rest. Kinda a shame as getting the error would have been like a bonus to some degree. I may try to confirm my guess with Anna today.

Refund inbound. The second saga of oldies clearance is finished for me. Sadly I could probably fill another big cart of things I'm somewhat interested in.

He changed the ending of Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot into Trailer Trash.
Not into yfw, but this would be interesting to hear.

Just under $34 total with the discount Amoeba has periodically.

Got shipping confirmation from Amoeba over the weekend. So looking forward to these!

Hmm. Think I'd want to limit myself to four total and have each be in a different color scheme. I like how you can see songs related through color. I think I'm looking forward to Empty on the Inside, Coral Blue, and either No Light Escapes or Shame in the Way. It would be nice to get Precipice as a header piece, but I'd be stretching myself just buying three more prints unless this series is sold over a long period. I envy people who could manage the subscription. They are getting a hell of a lot of some of Jacob's finest work so far.

Just to bring this back up (sorry, I'm not just Larry bashing I promise) I have been listening to a lot of Pelican recently and here is my take on it.
Early stuff (basically everything before City of Echos) has a sort of lazy feel to to, almost like everyone in the band is a bit behind, I know this isn't possible but I'm not a professional reviewer of music and not really sure how else to put it. The drumming matches the rest of the music well though and I am a fan of pretty much all of this era Pelican. Then City... came along and it was the first album that to me the drumming on sounded poor. There are some really interesting things going on in that album but there are a few (a few too many) times where the drumming will make me cringe a bit. Since that we have had WWACTN which I'm listening to now, the drumming is much sharper. I read an interview with Larry where he said he had been working hard since he got slated for City and I really think you can hear the improvement here. I never really gave WWACTN that much time when it came out but it is a really good album. Forever Becoming certainly has a different flavour to it, a bit faster and I feel an extension of the difference between earlier work and WWACTN, the drumming on it works well and I can't hear anything that immediately jumps out as 'poor'.
TLDR Old stuff is good, City of Echos makes my cringe, everything since is different to old stuff but still good.
This seems like the best assessment I've seen.

I just signed up for the club, and am wanting to order some older stuff from graveface too- my question is- do you get discounts on back catalog?
I've never seen it. Old RC releases are usually available if they have leftovers to fill your RC spots.

When it comes to grungey shoegaze like Nothing, Tidelands have been sadly overlooked for years before. They just released a new album, and the first two are great.

I wish the title was as good as Carnival Is Forever. Looking forward to the music anyhow.

Is your lack of Mountain Goats reflected when you log in and click "Purchase History" and view the itemized breakdown of the order?
Nope. Only on the physical invoice with the package. I think bugging customer service is the only way to know before you get it.

Got my order today. Of all things, I didn't get Mountain Goats. Wonder when they'll start processing refunds. Ended up with:
Om - Live in Jerusalem
Owls
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Warsaw
Can't complain.

Gilead should have it when they put up their distro again after their fest on like the 25th. Robo would be getting copies eventually too, I'd imagine.
