Looks like Amazon UK is at an unbeatable price right now at low $70 shipped to the US.

Very interested. Reminds me that a SotU comp repress would be nice as well.

Perfect copy (for hanging on your wall)!

Just received a charge from Bullmoose. Hope this means the blue pulled through from them.

Old Man Gloom have a new album coming out on Nov 11th called "Ape of God". Profound Lore will issue the CD, SIGE Records will release the vinyl, and Daymare will release the album in Japan. Additionally, there is an Old Man Gloom "Here is a Gift for You" directed by Kenneth Thomas that will be circulating later this fall. You can view a trailer for that here.

Also of note to me, Mammifer and Ides of Gemini news in that link. Last OMG record killed, so I have high hopes.

Up now for preorder! Ships mid-October. Thanks kk-downing.

Disappointed to see no one mentioned this yet. Probably the most depressing, heavy, and nihilistic band to exist, their first album (plus the extra tracks from splits, I assume) is finally receiving a much needed reissue with a remastering job that makes these old tracks sound better than I ever thought they could. Tankcrimes will have this up for preorder soon, but you can get a glimpse at the new masters with the youtube uploads they put up recently.

Liking the new title. Much more in line with the truth.

Guess that confirms no jacket art. Glad I'm making an illustration for a jacket for mine. The shipping notification yesterday gave me the kick in the pants I needed to really get going on it.
-
Glad they're doing it. Wish Cats(x3) would do something like this with their half of the split with TTNG and Victorialand together. Both feel essential to each other in those earlier years.

seafoam seafoam seafoam
Edit: the seafoam is ugly imo and doesn't go with the artwork at all.
Sunburn with scabby splatter variant next for tour exclusive.

Got lucky and scored city of caterpillar's lp for a great price. Picked up her breath on glass-building monuments to survivors and cloud rat's first album with it.

Still waiting on my laptop cable to better sort through my collection, but added a bit.

Finally started Eternal Sonata. Active blocking is tough but fun. The story so far is laregly jrpg melodrama with an interesting twist in relating it to Chopin. The music is mostly really good, but the menu sound design is too twinkly for my taste. It is overall really fun and pretty so far. A lot better than Blue Dragon in many aspects, which I finished recently.
I really want to pick up a ps2 to catch up on a lot of the rpgs I missed out on and replay the .HACK and Grandia series.

Also to clarify my mention of using delay in this preview song. I don't want more or less delay. I just feel like past work all had a very distinct way of using the delay. Am I the only one who recognizes that? Or maybe I'm just not making much sense.

Nice list. I'll have to pm you a little later since my power cable is shorted and my laptop is slowly dying. Anyway, the jacket is like this one:

Like what? I am always looking for new stuff to listen to. Also cannot wait for a new Jakob record.
Tons of stuff this year. A silver Mt zion, agalloch, Andrew Jackson Jihad, angel Olsen, bloodpheasant, bongripper, Boris, casket girls, creepoid, crosses, earthless with heavy blanket, Emma Ruth rundle, eyehategod, floor, godflesh, Haley bonar, hauschka, Velma alee, house of lightning, inventions, iron Reagan, junius, mark lanegan, mogwai, nothing, owls, ringworm, swans, thou, tiny empires, United nations, watter, young widows. Just so much good stuff.

I was hoping this would happen!

Pretty sure Two Conversations was pre-rc. That was when they were numbering the first 500 orders. I know I wasn't in the rc then and have a numbered 1st pressing.

Considering the massive gap in material, I'd be pretty disappointed if this band made no effort to progress or try new sounds with the new album.
I just mean it's missing some signature elements I expected. They had a particular way of working with delay that would have been nice to hear again as a reminder of where they came from.

Best modern pop band. There was a track debuted on npr: http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2014/08/11/339428704/song-premiere-stars-from-the-night
That cover is a specially kind of atrocious though.
