  1. Best way to bring it back is to contribute. In celebration of their great performance in West Chester, PA this past Wednesday, here's Good Old War's Purevolume session. http://rapidshare.com/files/233002423/Purevolume_Acoustic_Session.zip
  2. Does anybody have the demo from Let Me Run? I have a few acoustic tracks from them that I'll post here later.
  3. While searching for Ninja Gun's debut album, Smooth Transitions, I stumbled upon 5 (maybe really 4) acoustic tracks from Coody. I only recognize two of these songs to be Darwin Was A Baptist and Permanent Press. The others are totally unknown, and where and when this was recorded is totally unknown. If anyone can shed some light, please let me know. http://rapidshare.com/files/210049659/Ninja_Gun_-_Random_acoustic_songs.zip By the way thanks for the Alkaline Trio stuff. I have most of it but I never even heard of acoustic in Detroit.
  4. Here's some Ambulance ltd stuff. If you're familiar with the band, you probably know their in a tough spot with their label being sold and their masters being held. Here's a bunch of unreleased stuff to hold us over. http://rapidshare.com/files/210365072/Ambulance_ltd_-_KEXP_2004.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/210365073/Ambulance_ltd_-_KEXP_2006.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/210365074/Ambulance_ltd_-_WNYC_2008.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/207171343/Ambulance_ltd_-_Lollapalooza.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/211092172/Ambulance_ltd_-_Download_Festival.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/211092174/Ambulance_ltd_-_TVT_demo.zip
  5. Alright. I finally found out the track listing for the Step Ahead album. In doing so, I found their demo. Just a reminder, Step Ahead is Dave Hause's oldest known recording band, before The Loved Ones, Paint It Black, and The Curse. Dave doesn't sing lead, and the lyrics don't sound like they came from him, however I can see some of the music being written by him. No idea on the dates or even years of these... probably sometime around '96 5-song Demo http://rapidshare.com/files/200614948/Step_Ahead_-_demo.zip There's Always Hope http://rapidshare.com/files/200617853/Step_Ahead_-_There_s_Always_Hope.zip
  6. This just surfaced. Really cool stuff. As the Gaslight Anthem and Brian Fallon have gotten bigger, there's been more and more research into the band members' pasts, especially Fallon's because of his songwriting. I'm sure at least some of us have had the pleasure of hearing some of his previous bands. This is one of his first recordings. It's called The Coffeehouse Sessions, and apparently it came out in 1997 when Brian was in a band called No Release. The quality isn't the best, and the song's aren't Gaslight Anthem caliber for the most part, but this is definitely worth a listen. The Gaslight Anthem's fan-run forum is dedicated to getting as much music from the band as possible, and they really dug deep on this one. Check it out and see how incredible Fallon's songwriting is and has always been. http://rapidshare.com/files/195802738/Brian_Fallon_-_The_Coffeehouse_Sessions.zip
  7. Any Ted Leo fans? Around Christmas I posted a compilation of 50 covers from Ted on the fanbase forum... 50. Fucking. Covers. He loves his influences. It's broken up into 3 parts... from albums, from radio studios, and from live shows. Since I can't post the albums link in this thread (PM me if you want the link), you only get about 37 covers, which is still pretty damn good. Just about all of the tracks are really good quality, I'm big on that. http://rapidshare.com/files/176814711/Ted_Leo_-_50_Covers__2_of_3_-_Radio_.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/176817677/Ted_Leo_-_50_Covers__3_of_3_-_Shows_.zip The track listing is in the "Shows" file Just to give you an idea, you'll find covers of Elvis Costello, Rush, Wire, Adam and the Ants, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, and a bunch of other names big and small.
  8. For those of you who share the love for Jason Shevchuk... Bound - Five-track demo http://rapidshare.com/files/194086311/Bound_-_Demo.zip Bound - S/T EP http://rapidshare.com/files/194081847/Bound_-_S-T.zip Bound - Fire's Dying http://rapidshare.com/files/194085206/Bound_-_Fire_s_Dying.zip LaGrecia - Acoustic On G-Rock radio show (with interviews) http://rapidshare.com/files/194091010/LaGrecia_-_Acoustic_on_G-Rock.zip LaGrecia - Demo http://rapidshare.com/files/194092017/Lagrecia_-_Demo.zip And what Jason fan doesn't also like Dan Yemin. Japan released Paint It Blacks first two albums in one, and included this rare track... It was tough to track down, but it's one of those really REALLY good rarities. Paint It Black - View From A Headlock http://rapidshare.com/files/194092925/Paint_It_Black_-_View_From_A_Headlock__Paradise_Bonus_.mp3 I'd love to post None More Black's - Burning Up The Headphones because it's another REALLY good rarity and very unknown, but it's on iTunes. GO BUY IT. I also have the Step Ahead (Dave Hause of the Loved Ones and The Curse plays guitar) album "There's Always Hope" but I don't even know the names of the songs, just the order (Track 1, Track 2, etc.). If anyone can figure out the track listing for me, I'll upload it ASAP. I've been dying to know for years.
  9. Their first EP was just alright, kinda had weird ska elements, but the second was about as good as possible. Seriously I'm a true backer of this band.
  10. Did anyone see the punknews story tonight? The New Rising Sons (Garrett from Texas Is The Reason) are reuniting. Man I love this group about 10 times more than TITR and Solea, and those are two great bands. Anyway all of a sudden the New Rising Sons have a myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/mugofbrimstone Hey Virgil, I'm sure you're at least familiar with Texas Is The Reason. If you've never listened to The New Rising Sons, think Texas Is The Reason minus the emo plus a more upbeat sound and country aspects... almost like the Refreshments, Ninja Gun, or certain songs from None More Black. On top of that, Garrett Klahn is one of the best songwriters around. Why am I writing this? Because on the Myspace by the "Record Label" it says Unsigned. I just got to thinkin... country influence, good songwriting, a multi-group artist... this sounds a lot like Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective material... why not send them a postcard? Just food for thought. A guy can dream can't he?
  11. I'd really like to see J. Robbins' latest albums come out on vinyl. Channels and Burning Airlines. A really good way to sell albums out is to make Incubus' SCIENCE. That's a favorite to a bunch of fans, and to my knowledge, it hasn't been pressed.
  12. That's strange. He smiles ear to ear when playing in Philly. Maybe he only loves his hometown.
  13. Nah most of these are hits, like radio singles. They belonged o a radio station. The closest thing I have to the Replacements and the Clash would be the Ramones. And I know test pressings were more common back then, but I also know that a test pressing is always the minority when your talking about different versions of a single record. I don't expect anything like the NMB This Is Satire TP auction.
  14. I believe it's called All Aboard: A Tribute to Johnny Cash. Chuck Ragan, Jason Shevchuk, Jon Snodgrass and a bunch of other big names. I forget what label it's on and last I heard, there's no set release date. I'm stoked for it though.
