  1. And, just to follow-up: Make sure you don't post anything on social media/boards/etc. that you wouldn't want to come out in trial/settlement negotiations - should you have to go that far. Far too many people don't realize that their activity online can be used against them when it comes down to it and it is more likely than not going to hurt them.
  2. Not my area of law, nor state... But you should be able to find a local attorney that takes free consultations and specializes in disability/employment law. (Avvo and Lawyers.com provide some good resources, as well as just as just a general Google search for area of law and city). I'd also look at your state workforce commission: http://www.twc.state.tx.us/crd/disability-discrimination.html It looks like the "Reasonable Accommodations" section might be of interest to you. Sorry for your troubles and hope you can find someone to help.
  3. Just a heads up to those having problems with the label - I tried contacting them through their website on 3 occasions and through messaging on this forum once regarding my order of The Walking Dead that never arrived. I received no response and had to file a claim to through PayPal (that I eventually won and got refunded through). Really bummed I never got TWD vinyl... But at least I thankfully got the money back. Morale of the story -- don't expect any type of response and file a claim before the 45 day window is up if need be to get any refund.
  4. Just wait until the Browns trade down with the Falcons tomorrow for another throwback moment. Brown probably should not had been fired in the first place, but I don't understand bringing him back now. I'd like to think it means we're going to make a run at getting some actual talent on the team either through trade or free agency... But I have no idea what to think at this point.
  5. As someone who just graduated from law school last May I think I can provide some assistance... If you want the best possibility of a job, figure out what type of job you'd be happy with first -- and think about whether that requires a J.D. or not. If that job is being a lawyer and practicing law then you really have no choice but to go. If it's a job that doesn't require a J.D. be careful about pursuing a law degree/bar membership only to then pursue such job -- as they may think you're just there as a temporary gig due to the downfall in jobs/etc (assuming the down economy remains in 3-4 years). You're better served finding an internship aligned with what you want to do in your senior year and parlaying that into a job (hopefully) after graduation, if a J.D. is not required. Another thing to consider, if being a lawyer is what you really want to do, is what school to choose. I personally had no aspirations to join a large firm in a big city, so I took a full scholarship at a lower tier school instead of going to a better school and paying $30k+ a year. If "biglaw" is what you want to do, it probably justifies going to the best school you can and being in the top of your class. Obviously there's other uses of the J.D. than just practicing law (especially if you don't want to take the Bar, which is a whole other animal than law school), some of which may set you up to get a job over others -- but it all goes back to planning out what your career aspirations are, where you would be ok/willing to work, and how much debt you're willing to incur to do so. If you have any LSAT or law school specific questions feel free to reply/message me -- figured you were just looking for some general guidance here.
  6. Greetings all, Contributed to a sports thread and tried to help someone grab a CD once -- finally settled into a place and job so have some more time and should be around more, so figured I'd do this. Real name: Dominic Favorite Bands/Artists: E For Explosion, Go Radio, Andrew McMahon, Look Mexico, Anberlin, Misser, Late Night Habit, Yellowcard, and far too many others to list. What's your Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr etc.?: http://twitter.com/AmplifiedEsq http://www.amplifiedesq.com/ Hobbies (outside of record collecting): Sports, shows, and doing pro bono work. Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!: As alluded too above, started doing pro bono legal work for independent artist. Went to law school with the intention of helping independent artists when I got out and try to do so in my free time -- finally got an online presence set up to hopefully help some artist on a wider scale. Website and Twitter are linked above -- website is also going to serve as a music industry blog to post new music/industry articles/etc.
  7. Best part about this scandal -- Catfish marathon on MTV, right now. Seriously though, this kid has everything to lose where as the "friend" catfishing him has nothing to lose. Te'o was supposed to speak yesterday but never did. If you ask me he's been in contact with the guy posing as his girlfriend, and he's been promised a nice sum of money to make sure the world believes Te'o was played (money that can easily be raised not just from his initial contract, but a tell all interview that he sells the rights to -- likely to some sympathetic network where he can control the message/questions). As someone said a few posts above, I'd be far more worried about this guy getting completely played and really having no knowledge, as opposed to him being complicit in it, if I were an NFL GM. That said, I personally believe it is highly unlikely this was done, or at least furthered, without his knowledge. Especially since Te'o is on record as lying about the death after the date he found out about it being fake, according to ND -- and his family has lies on record. Also, the Grantland Mailbag today has some good stuff if you're still looking to read takes on the story. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8856794/the-all-teo-mailbag I just hope he doesn't end up a Cleveland Brown after the draft...
  8. Thought I had seen it recently, but after a quick search it does not seem so. Maybe it was up on Andrew's site but sold out when people were scooping up the SoCo album...
  9. I am not aware of any. I had used the 10% posted earlier in this thread (one time use ht.com said) and the 15% never worked for me.
  10. Living Well is up at HT.com http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/NewReleases//Midtown+-+Living+Well+Is+The+Best+Revenge+Vinyl+LP-382775.jsp Of note, it's on the new releases and not vinyl section yet (just like Save the World) started out as -- for those asking where I found it. Also, some more Fall Out Boy is posted under the Vinyl section, so if you missed out on that round 1 (or 2 yesterday, not sure if it ever went OOS) I figure some Midtown fans may want to add that to the order.
  11. It's up http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/NewReleases//Midtown+-+Save+The+World+Lose+The+Girl+Vinyl+LP-313279.jsp
  12. If the person above didn't end up being able to come through I've got this still sealed. Pre ordered it from their webstore when they posted it cause I really wanted the shirt and it was like $5 more to add the tour edition of this.
