Oops, I'm sorry. I just remembered that the orders being shipped are from FBR.
That was seriously my bad. I swear I've been keeping up, I just had a huge brain fart. -
So, I pre-ordered this back in November, and never got a cancellation notice. Just checked my account today, and it still says "Fulfilling Order" under my order history. Should I just give up on it and try to pick it up in-store?

ADAM. How's it sound? Can't wait for my copy to come in.
Really, really, REALLY good.

Airiel - Kid Games EP (first press, white vinyl)
I was hoping for a blue copy in the back of my mind, but then I read that it was a webstore exclusive.
At least I still got it, right?

Mine was They Might Be Giants at the Variety Playhouse in ATL, back in 2007. They were on tour for The Else, and I unknowingly bought an autographed copy after the show (somehow, I was the first person at the merch table, and I didn't notice the CD was already opened until I got in the car).
It was a great show. Didn't see another band live until I saw of Montreal in 2010.

Went to the record store a few hours ago, walked out with two great finds.
Kishi Bashi - 151a (white vinyl)
Games - That We Can Play (Ford + Lopatin before they changed names, definitely recommended if you dig Oneohtrix Point Never and the stuff he puts out on his Software label.)

I would buy First Temple in a heartbeat. That, and the Penance and the Patience EP.
Both of them would be so amazing to have on vinyl. God. Why hasn't that happened yet?

I kind of really want this. Looks like I'm going to have to pay another visit to UO very soon.

Sort of a wonky list. A lot of good albums got shafted, with "hipster garbage" taking the lead (I'm guessing it's mostly for NME's target market). Honestly surprised to see Grimes ranked so high and Purity Ring ranked so low. Visions was good, but it wasn't that good. Also kind of surprised that Twin Shadow didn't make the cut.
I will say that I'm glad to see Tame Impala at #1. That album is incredible.

Japandroids - Celebration Rock (180g red, /1000)
Ordered from the Polyvinyl E-Store a few weeks ago, when it suddenly went back in stock.
(Yet again, props to paralyticstalks for pointing that out.)

Shugo Tokumaru's newest album, "In Focus?", will be released on Polyvinyl next January.
The record is limited to 1000 copies on clear vinyl, priced at $15, and can be pre-ordered on the Polyvinyl E-Store.
Seriously, this guy is amazingly talented. This is the first single from the album, called "Decorate."

I'm very tempted to get the bundle. Not only is this album going to be amazing, but that slip mat (and the T-shirt) is crazy awesome too.
Also, it honestly doesn't bother me that it's only on black vinyl. Matches the album cover quite well.

Just got a 180g red copy of Japandroids - Celebration Rock from the Polyvinyl store, and I got 15% off with the "utr" coupon!
(Thanks for the pro tip, paralyticstalks.)

This is definitely going on the ol' Christmas list. I love this album.

I've been looking to buy this album for months now, and have just never had the proper funds. More than excited for this release.
-
I should have known... that's what I get for ignoring my gut feelings.
-
That's me, featuring the only style of facial hair I can actually pull off. Ah well.
-
I will buy this in a heartbeat. Crazy excited for this one.

True enough. Come to think of it, I do have to pass back through tomorrow on my way back to school, so I could try to leave early enough to stop by before they close. Why malls still close at 6:00 on Sundays escapes me...
-
I'll try and go again as soon as I possibly can and see if they have any left. No promises, though; I don't actually get to go to Atlanta that often.

Same here. I'm honestly not that eager to try alcohol of any sort, and my friends who smoke weed always either do stupid stuff or just sit around and do nothing, so weed isn't all that attractive to me either (that, and it smells like rubber cement. I don't care what anyone says, weed smells like rubber cement to me).
I do smoke hookah once or twice a month, though, because I enjoy the social aspect of it and I like learning smoke tricks. That's about it.
