We will be packing and shipping as fast as we can but yeah, as some have mentioned it's a pretty small operation and in a big surge like this we can and do get backed up That being said we're all over it and appreciate eeryone's orders and kind words !!!
  2. It’s crazy to think about, but the year is almost over. Everything ramps up surrounding the holidays, and we’re doing a mini “Black Friday” crazy holiday sale, with 30% off all orders $50 or more. This is the biggest blanket-discount we’ve ever done in the Robotic Empire - Online Store, so now is a great time to stock up on killer vinyl, shirts, CDs or whatever you and/or your loved ones are after this holiday season. On that note, we are working through the entire month non-stop, so the “XMASPARTY” coupon code will hook ya up throughout the rest of the year. Just enter it during your checkout and you’re good to go. We’re not giving a definitive “you must get orders in by X date to get stuff by Christmas” like we have in the past – so if you’re trying to get gift-orders in, try and do so ASAP as it’s very tricky to gauge/guarantee shipping times around this season. This would be a good time to mention that we’re currently taking pre-orders for the new repress of ISIS‘ landmark opus, Oceanic. Probably the defining ISIS album now that it’s said and done, showcasing a band at the height of a monumental transition, “Oceanic” was/is hailed by many fans as ISIS’ landmark album, earned widespread critical acclaim and was even dubbed “seminal” by Drowned In Sound. Raising the massive bridge between crushing metal and atmospheric post-rock, ISIS truly came into their own sound on this brilliant sophomore album. This stunning double LP is unquestionably one of ISIS’ pinnacle achievements getting the proper vinyl treatment it so utterly deserves. 2180 total copies were made of this new pressing of Oceanic: 200 on translucent light green, 500 on cream w/green splatter, 1480 on black. Fully printed on reverse-board stock with “tip-on” style gatefold jackets and printed innersleeves, the audio for this new vinyl pressing was carefully remastered by sonic wizard James Plotkin. Explains drummer Aaron Harris, “The clarity that’s been revealed in these songs was surprising even to me. I’ve heard these songs probably thousands of times. When I listened to the remastered version of “Weight” it was like I was back in the studio recording the song. I also noticed a lot of new detail in Jeff’s bass guitar, and energy in the guitars. I know Oceanic is a favorite among fans, and I think this remaster will bring a new appreciation even to those who have heard it many times.” This is available to pre-order now in the Robotic Empire Online Store, and is expected to ship around the first week of December. Big ups & Happy Holidays!
  3. Australian friends: here's a rad little writeup from Life Is Noise about TORCHE's track on our "Blood" mixtape, and their current Australian tour dates: http://lifeisnoise.com/2014/09/30/new-torche-song-andy-low-on-robotic-empire-compilation/ It’s amazing there aren’t more bands like Torche, but maybe that’s to be expected; for so long we’ve been led to think that metal and melody are warring factions, that hooks and catchy riffs are tools of the enemy yielded only in the pursuit of accessibility. And while Torche are certainly accessible, they’re so much more than that, proving that a good hook goes a long way when it’s matched with massive guitars and a mighty rhythm section. Their latest offering is ‘Andy Low’, the first song on the mammoth 30-track compilation album Blood Mixtape from Virginia label Robotic Empire. It’s a rollicking, sub-3-minute anthem filled to the brim with everything you’ve come to expect from Torche: big, ballsy, killer riffs, a heavy beat fit for a military parade and the familiar, soaring howl of frontman Steve Brooks. Flame on. You can download ‘Andy Low’ for free (or for money, if you want) here - https://roboticempire.bandcamp.com/album/blood-mixtape Torche Australian Tour: Thursday October 16 – Crowbar, Brisbane with Lizzard Wizzard and Indica Saturday October 18 – Corner Hotel, Melbourne with Child and DEAD Sunday October 19 — Oxford Art Factory, Sydney with Lo! and Sumeru Tickets available from lifeisnoise.com, Oztix and venue outlets.

  5. scent- supposedly, just had a correspondence about it this week. JKB's a busy dude though so we just have to remain patient. when we have more concrete info / timeframes, we'll definitely post it thetrackt- thank you!

  7. We have just released a 30-track free mixtape called “Blood”, comprised entirely of Robotic Empire label alumni’s newest material. There’s over 20 previously unreleased tracks, which winds up being the debut release of a lot of artists’ new/side/solo projects, and we’re extremely happy to be presenting this to you today. You can download/stream “Blood” free now via Bandcamp and/or stream Soundcloud: Bandcamp Soundcloud To elaborate a bit, we’ve been a label for 15 years now and to celebrate we decided to assemble a unique kind of release – where the primary focus is what’s going on with the amazing musicians we’ve worked with over the years, be it their latest material, an unreleased b-side, or the unexpected solo/side project’s latest stuff. When we started contacting bands the response was overwhelmingly positive, and ver about a two-month material the project snowballed, turning into the free 30 track beast before you! There are contributions from repeat offenders TORCHE, TILTS, PYGMYLUSH, HOLLOW SUNSHINE, TIDELAND and ALPACA, this sampler also spotlights a swath of new material from members of historic Robo bands PG.99, DAUGHTERS, ISIS, CAPSULE, RED SPAROWES, CRESTFALLEN, YOUNG WIDOWS, STOP IT!! , DIAL, ULTRA DOLPHINS, A STORM OF LIGHT, VERSE EN COMA and many more. The full lineup and tracklisting for “Blood” is as follows: 1. Torche - Andy Low * 2. Passing Phases - In The Dark, In The Fire * 3. The Ar-Kaics - No, No, No 4. Tideland - Let Me In * 5. Big No - Turn It On * 6. Taiga - Excelsius * 7. Tilts - Thomas Jefferson II 8. Gull - Susquehannd (Cut) * 9. Christian Blunda - Faraway * 10. Hollow Sunshine - Stay Down 11. Big Hush - Wholes * 12. Snacktruck - Miracle Ball * 13. Wrong - Call It * 14. Decades/Failures - Blank Clocks * 15. Jaye Jayle - Space Girl * 16. Alpaca - Dark Lands 17. Society - Sympathised 18. Mustard Gas and Roses - The Hard Road * 19. Some Stranger - Cosmic Dust (Call 911)) * 20. Hell Night - Black Hornet 21. Chris Taylor - Train of Thought * 22. Crooked Son - Hum * 23. A Storm of Light - Effigy * 29. Howling Void - The Moaning Ache of a Time on the Edge of Collapse * 30. Pygmy Lush - Serve the Servants (Acoustic Demo) * * denotes previously unreleased Worth mentioning is the lead track from TORCHE, oddly-enough named after Robotic Empire’s label founder. Steve Brooks from the band had the following comment in response to this: "This is a lost track we recorded for the "Songs for Singles" record in 2010. We weren't completely satisfied with how it turned out and planned on rewriting it one day. One of the riffs got used in "Letting Go" (Harmonicraft). It's a tune I kinda forgot about until Andy Low (pack rat) sent us a copy asking if we'd be into having this on his new comp. Sure, why not? If it wasn't for Mr Low, Rick and I wouldn't have met, Torche might not have existed and who knows where we'd all be today? We decided to call the song "Andy Low" to make him uncomfortable/feel strange about his name as a song title AND because we love the hell out of him. "Andy Low" is for our boy Andy Low/Robodog/Robotic Empire Records. Enjoy!" Quote label founder Andy Low on assembling this release: "I'm truly humbled and fairly weirded-out to have a song named after me. But far more importantly, I'm blown away by the sheer talent that surrounds this free 'mixtape' release. Every song included amazes me in some manner, and the culmination of all this material gives me the same kind of excitement I felt on the cusp of releasing our most influential records over the years. If you can, please take the time to check out the full release, especially the songs by bands you haven't heard before. It was sequenced with a classic mixtape feel in mind, and set to flow as best it can with such a wide variety of material! With two tracks for each year of the label's existence, there is a plethora of great new tunes lurking in here, which I hope you'll find and enjoy. A genuine and hearty thankyou is due to every artist who is a part of this, it means the world to be celebrating 15 years as a label with such amazing musicians, and their projects past, present and future!" The "Blood" mixtape can be downloaded now for FREE via Robotic Empire's bandcamp page, or streamed in full via Soundcloud: Bandcamp Soundcloud Enjoy! 8. Los Angeles / New York duo ALPACA today release their sophomore offering, a four song EP titled Post Empire. Recorded throughout 2013 and 2014, the two man electronic/rock outfit comprised of Allen Blickle and Justin Nuckols explore a slightly darker territory on their latest effort. While retaining the catchy elements ALPACA established on their debut album Demimonde, there's increased melancholy compared to the breakout debut last year. The proggy sensibilities are more apparent in the less-conventional song structures, and a haunting dissonance balances this new material's impressive impact. Blickle's bombastic and technical drumming style that he grew throughout his tenure with rock group BARONESS shines bright on the harder groove tracks, while Nuckols' at times ethereal guitar style and vocal performances resonate further maturity on the duo's new work. Comments Blickle on the release, "Post Empire in essence portrays a present picture of our personalities musically and contextually. Exploring new territory for every record we work on is what excites us to move forward in our musical relationship." The Post Empire EP is now available digitally worldwide via iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and others. On the opposite end of the format spectrum, THOU's monster 12" EP, The Sacrifice, from earlier this year has just been re-pressed. Quickly blowing out when it landed late spring, this tidy beast returns to wax in all its tip-on jacket / 180-gram vinyl glory! Comprised of five burly tracks recorded during the Heathen album sessions, the 25 minutes of The Sacrifice offers some of the band's most condensed work to date, eschewing the crawl found on most of their long-players and upping the tempo a bit while retaining their revered doom and roar. Several new bludgeoners ("New Orleans Is a Hole," "Pill," and "Eulogy") are joined with the masterful drone of "I Believe Because It Is Impossible" and, per usual, a ferocious NIRVANA cover, this time putting "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die" through their apocalyptic grinder. Accompanying the 45 RPM heavyweight clear vinyl 12" is a high quality digital download included, where THOU once again presents the thunder with quality and class. * Grab THOU vinyl, cassettes and t-shirts at the Robotic Empire - Online Store * Get THOU's most recent digital releases (The Sacrifice, Heathen, the Algiers collection and others) at Robotic Empire's Bandcamp Further color wax is also available for TILTS latest offering, Cuatro Hombres, along with the re-press of their Self-Titled debut album - both now available on vinyl. Each of these longplaying rock and roll bangers feature cover imagery by Tom Huck, the renowned 'Evil Print' woodcut artist also responsible for THE ROOTS Phrenology cover. Including a high quality digital download as well, TILTS catalog is responsibly available once again. * Find TILTS vinyl (including a limited hand-numbered TEST PRESS edition of Cuatro Hombres) in the Robotic Empire - Online Store Beyond that, we've been chugging through the recent t-shirts stocked from MAN IS THE BASTARD / NOISE and the GRATEFUL DEAD X MISFITS limited design we scored stock of. Although famous rappers are snatching them up pronto, some sizes of each are still available in the Robotic Empire - Online Store Big ups & Jah Bless!
  9. We're thrilled to announce that the crowdfunded sophomore album from St. Louis' rock quartet TILTS is finally available on vinyl! Cuatro Hombres is 10 rippin tracks of rock and/or roll, with enough heavy spice added in to make it absolutely bombastic. A song premiere for "Touchdowns" happened via Noisey/Vice, and can be heard here. Like the debut album (which was also re-pressed alongside this new LP), TILTS entirely self-recorded this beast, then had RVA engineer Ian Whalen (RAH BRAHS, TOMBS, LAMB OF GOD) mix the songs from there. James Plotkin has mastered the release specifically for vinyl, and separately for the included high quality digital-download card. Both Cuatro Hombres and the self-titled debut LP sport woodcut cover art courtesy of Tom Huck, and are each available now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store. * Listen to "Thomas Jefferson II" or "Touchdowns" from the Cuatro Hombres LP * Listen to "Hot For Pizza" or "Mexiqo" from the Self-Titled LP * Order the vinyl here! Beyond that we've got a stack of new shirts from MAN IS THE BASTARD / BASTARD NOISE in house, officially Wood-sanctioned. The iconic SKULL is now available as a large black-and-grey on grey shirt, or maroon-and-yellow on orange shirt. For the stoic/bogan types, we're also scavenged art off the infamous CROSSED OUT split on Slap A Ham, for a classic white-on-black double-sided shirt. * Grab MAN IS THE BASTARD / NOISE merch in the Robotic Empire - Online Store Further on that classic black-n-white SKULL tip comes a left field one we scored a few of, the limited MISFITS X GRATEFUL DEAD "Steal Yr Skull" shirt. Printed on Gildan soft style shirts, these two other iconic skulls are merged where the Crimson Ghost finally rests within the Dead Head. * Pick up the GRATEFUL DEAD x MISFITS shirt at the Robotic Empire - Online Store In addition to the aforementioned, we've picked up some stellar vinyl releases for thine turntables and listening enjoyment from the likes of CAPSULE, BLOODPHEASANT, LATE BLOOMER, LOCKTENDER, PRIMITIVE MAN and PYGMY LUSH. 11. You guys rule! FYI, CAVE IN's "The Sacrifice Poles" has essentially sold out on vinyl, just in time for the digital release to go live on iTunes, Bandcamp and Spotify today: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-sacrifice-poles/id852752844?uo=4 http://roboticempire.bandcamp.com/album/cave-in-the-sacrifice-poles http://open.spotify.com/album/3s2mjka6OBzkJtSISAwv7d A very interesting window into one of rock music's most fascinating transitions, "The Sacrifice Poles" shows a completely different side of CAVE IN's musical landscape and is well worth exploring for both casual and diehard fans.
  12. First wave of CAVE IN "The Sacrifice Poles" LP orders are heading out today! Got through a chunk of em but still heaps to go...taking a breather over the weekend then back into it next week. Thanks again to all who ordered and for everyone's patience as we get orders packed and shipped! #jahbless
  13. So we received a LOT of CAVE IN LP orders, which is awesome! The response has been amazing, so a big thank you to everyone who's ordered. On that note, an advance thanks is also due for your patience as we pack and ship all of these LPs! Will definitely take us a few weeks to get through all of this, so apologies if there is a slight delay in delivery. Biggest of ups & JAH BLESS.
  14. MetalSucks got on board with brief but cool editorial about the release: http://www.metalsucks.net/2014/05/12/long-lost-cave-album-sacrifice-poles-will-finally-see-light-day/
  15. AMAZING collection, but all test presses for this release went direct to the band.
  16. We are thrilled to announce the availability of CAVE IN's elusive mid-period album The Sacrifice Poles, which Robodog Records originally released on CD back in 2001. Comprised entirely of instrumental 4-track recordings from 1998-2000, The Sacrifice Poles sees CAVE IN heavily experimenting during writing blocks between Until Your Heart Stops and Jupiter. Largely unlike either release due to the creative process, the album remains unmistakably "Cave In" and is a surprising window into one of rock music's most amazing transitions. Aside from "Brain Candle Waltz", all material has stayed exclusive to this release and we are thrilled to finally present it on vinyl, over 13 years later. Aaron Turner's stark original artwork and layout has been meticulously re-created from archived artist proofs, for a 5-color silkscreened LP jacket printed by brethren at Broken Press. All audio for both vinyl and digital formats has been separately remastered by James Plotkin in 2014 for a warmer, fuller sound. Pressed in an edition of 500 copies, 300 were made on translucent blue vinyl and 200 on black vinyl. All LP copies include a high quality digital download. This officially drops on May 27th but we're too damn stoked and have put up our mailorder copies now! iTunes and other digital services will have this on the 27th as well. * Order CAVE IN's The Sacrifice Poles LP now at the Robotic Empire - Online Store * Pre-order the digital version of CAVE IN's The Sacrifice Poles via iTunes or our Bandcamp Beyond that awesome release, we have acquired a gnarly plethora of new vinyl and cassettes for the Robotic Empire - Online Store, including a bunch of rad tunes from former Robo alumni. As for restocks, it's much of the same plus the two latest long players from CONVERGE, GRAILS self-released reissues of their two first LPs (first released by Robo/Neurot), LITURGY's polarizing Aesthetica 2LP, an expanded TRAP THEM LP and a trifecta of double-LPs from YEAR OF NO LIGHT.
