J_Koutsourais13
Hello, I just recently got into hi-fi and have a few setup questions. I just ordered a NAD 2600a off of eBay for a pretty good deal, and am currently looking to get a Rega RP-1. If so, would the Ortofon 2M Blue be a good fit for it? Also, any recommendations for a phono preamp and a set of bookshelf speakers that would fit well with that would be appreciated. My budget for those would be about $500 for each. Thanks! J_Koutsourais13
so $500 for the cart ... $500 for the TT ... $500 for the preamp and $500 for the speakers ?? though, I wouldn't be opposed to go out of my budget if necessary. More or less just a preference
dethrock
I would do more research before planning to spend the same amount on the turntable as you are on the cartridge.

Once again, I was looking at the Ortofon 2M Blue. I was more or less saying that I wanted to keep the phono preamp and spakers to around $500 a piece. Tardcore
let's just call it a total budget of $2000 minus whatever you have already spent....

jhog3411
I would poke around on Audiogon if you don't mind buying used. It's a reliable site and you can get some good stuff that has been taken care of very well. I have an older set of Von Schweikert VR-1s that I got off there for around that price a number of years ago. I like Paradigm's Studio bookshelves at somewhat near that price also I'm sure an NAD phono preamp would do well. I've had the NAD PP2 for years with no issues.
