HybridxReality
I recently bought an unlocked iPhone 4S (GSM) and as I'm going through the basic setup, it tells me to get wifi. So I get wifi and it does that whole "may take a couple minutes" thing, but then it just says that I need a SIM card installed. Now what I'm thinking is if I can take it to a cell phone company of my choice and ask them to add a SIM card without having to do the basic setup. (Choose language, country, ect.) I've done this with another 4S and it let me complete the setup first and then I added a SIM card, so I'm kind of confused. Any thoughts? radiatorhums
I would say go get a SIM card and try again. You're going to need one anyway
kamalatapes
Is it possible you had a CDMA instead of GSM on the other 4s?
