dethrock
Just picked up some Hercules XPS DJ Monitors to use as computer speakers (got them for a good price) and I also got a Meridian USB DAC. I've got the DAC setup and the latest drivers installed and everything but I'm not sure what to set the "default format" as in the 'sound' section of the control panel. Here's the options: 24 bit, 44100 Hz 24 bit, 48000 Hz 24 bit, 96000 Hz 24 bit, 192000 Hz I will be using it almost exclusively for listening to music which for the most part are mp3's that are either 320 kbps or V0. Thanks.
slinch
Well most likely all your files are 16 bit 44100 Hz, so that one would be best, but since you didn't list it it's possible that your DAC automatically upsamples. So the first one then. But I don't think it matters as every DAC decodes based on the signal it receives.
