Bob Dylan - Columbia/MOV/4men...?

So many different companies releasing the same Bob Dylan titles.

Modern Times:

Columbia $16.99

MOV $39.99 (!)

Which one delivers the best sound quality?

MOV claims they use analog tape when they can get it, but

is it safe to assume these LP's are all from Digital?

Also,

Oh Mercy

released by Music on Vinyl ($34.99) and also released by 4 men w/beards ($21.99)

Which one delivers the best sound quality?

Thanks

I've got the Columbia copy of Modern Times and it is one of those titles that simply blows away the CD. It's most likely cut from high-resolution digital, but the mastering on the vinyl is a night and day difference from the brickwalled CD.

I haven't heard the MOV pressing, but at those prices I would definitely stick with the US Columbia. MOV either used the same metal parts or they might have done their own mastering at 24/96, but I wouldn't assume the sound quality would be any better.

I don't have any experience with Oh Mercy.  I do know that many 4MWB pressings are simply cut from 16/44 digital, and you'd be just as well off with the CD. Plus, original pressings of this title are common and affordable... I don't see a reason to get an expensive reissue for this one.
