I stalked this page (https://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/games/fireemblemfates/) for a week after it came out and got lucky with a target restock. It lets you set alarms for when/if a restock goes up. jaedong Posted March 17, 2016 Share Posted March 17, 2016 i was watching ebay for these and saw them going for like $200+, but there was 9 pages or so of copies for sale so i figured they would go down in time. now they are still selling for $200+ but there is only 2 pages of copies, seems like the resale value is only going up on these. rthursdayx Posted March 18, 2016 Share Posted March 18, 2016 Goodluck I spent along time day and night trying to get this for retail price I missed the few times it came back in stock at amazon and target but it was only in stock for like 5 minutes. I called Nintendo and freaked out cuz' it's rediculous they know the demand is there they just won't produce more and what pisses me off is that it's a special edition not a limited edition so I don't think it was super limited I think flippers bought the shit out of this Ebay was flooded with these for awhile now it's dwindling down but still I hate when flippers take advantage of fans like us. Anyways when I was on the phone with Nintendo they transferred me to some higher up guy and we talked about all sorts of shit but he basically said that Nintendo themselves didn't even have a single copy of the Special Edition and how he doesn't understand why they don't make more copies to meet demand, anyways before I got off the phone he says "I'm gonna try and make up for this a little bit, I am going to send you a physical copy of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and I'm going to add $40 to your Nintendo Eshop Account" I never once asked for anything and I was blown away that this dude just offered to give me that much free shit for free and he followed through I've been playing Birthright the last couple days and it's awesome and the money is on my Eshop account. I'm never, ever that lucky. I did miss out on the Bravely Second Collectors Edition tho which I would have really liked to get. But I'm definetly grateful for what Nintendo did for me.
