Jealous Cactus
I've been getting a bad hum from my turntable even though it is grounded. Do hum eliminators do a good job at getting rid of the sound? Or should I maybe just look into getting new speakers and/or pre amps, since I think they may be the cause since they are older and I hear the hum even when the turntable is not hooked up to them? Thomas³
What's your set-up? Might make it easier for us to determine the problem.
Jealous Cactus
My turntable is a Stanon T.62. My pre amp is an RCA AH500, and my speakers are part of a JVC FS-1000 stereo system. The turntable is pretty new, but the preamp and stereo are both about 20 years old. Please, I am really desperate. I have not been able to use my record player in a week. I do not know what to do and I have been asking everywhere I can but I have not gotten any help.
