davezer Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 that's right united states, blame the birds....i dont believe its possible that one bird flew into each engine. that's what happened in the 70's in chicago, a plane wasn't fully checked and only had one functional engine, and a bird flew through that one and the plane crashed and everyone died. When you fly into a flock of Canadian Geese, its possible.... I've been on a plane that has had a bird go into the engines, and believe me, its not cool. Luckily we were able to circle around, land and change planes, but those engines are fragile. It's totally possible. My buddy watched this event unfold from his apartment window. andrew13 Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 if you've ever seen a canadian goose, they're huge fucking birds. taking several of them in an engine at 200mph, which i believe they said last night they were doing, would probably do a ton of damage.
