I collect every pressing, every color for The Riverboat Gamblers and Red Scare. I don't count tests and transitions. EDIT: I mixed you up with noeffinidea. Sorry. jimmythescumbag Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 I guess I sorta collect variants...these are the bands I collect for...in order of "completion", but none of them are complete yet. Some bands I just go for one of each release, regardless of color/variation. The Vindictives (closest to completion) Underground Railroad To Candyland (won't ever be "complete" due to some crazy variants for a 4-way split LP) and to a lesser extent: Screeching Weasel I am sure I will end up getting more into SW collecting, but for now I just pick up whatever I can via ebay and the boards. monstercody Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 Making an effort at collecting all variants of all bands on: Revelation Deathwish Bridge Nine Rivalry New Age Youngblood Victory I also think I am a Pavlovian dog who salivates on cue to any label who has a website with a detailed discography with pictures of each variant. Rivalry is the perfect example. That is the one aspect I don't think gets enough mention. Labels who do fancy discographies attract collectors and can only lead to more variant fury.
