jimmythescumbag
business classes are for dweebs.engineer or die. Are you in a general physics class? Would it be safe to say that you are an engineering student? If so, which field?
adammuzzy
it's physics for engineers. i actually just had to specify which field i wanted to today. we have all the same core classes freshman year (chm, calc 1/2, physics, eng design, computer engineering, college writing) i enrolled as mechanical engineer because i was told that it was basically the most generic, and you could cover the most fields with it. but today i decided last minute to do civil, as that was what i wanted to do since 7th grade. at my school (maybe most?) it's civil/environmental engineering, and environmental studies have been interesting me a lot more recently, so i did that. w/e. AND he's going to school free and getting paid 20k a year to do it. i'm a little jealous. engineering (in general) is a good way to go. adammuzzy
yeah. engineering is one of the fields that i know will always have a shit ton of work available. i'm also stoked that the school i'm at is ranked #1 for job/career placement after graduation. Wow...I am an electrical engineering student, so despite the increasing weirdness of the material I am learning, I hope to be able to do well after graduating (hopefully paid post-grad schooling).
