dante3000
Hey I'm trying to find a stat and I can't seem to locate it. Does anyone know where I can find how much of the FEMA relief money for Katrina is remaining? I heard the number on NPR but haven't been able to find it. Any help would be rad. mediocore
Katrina + Rita = $3 billion that is still being held up either out-of-state or by FEMA
mediocore
Also, just found this in a recent WaPo article: "Local officials complain that more than 1,200 projects valued at $3.7 billion await agreement on funding by authorities. Last week, FEMA announced that the chief of staff of its local office is under investigation for numerous personnel complaints."
dante3000
I'm really interested to see what's left in the state because Jindal is threatening to turn down stimulus money and I find that really odd, but someone noted it's because he still has a shit ton of Katrina money left. Be interest to see if that's valid.
