Guest Admin
THE DECEMBERISTS "Hazards Of Love" dbl LP BOB DYLAN "Together Through Life" dbl LP + CD VASELINES "Enter The Vaselines" triple LP Got in a few new records including the latest from Decemberists and Bob Dylan and the Vaselines retrospective. I have only listened to the new Decemberists, but so far, I haven't fallen love. Seems like a completely different record than their previous efforts and I am not sure I dig it. What do you all think? I have yet to listen to the new Bob Dylan and it has been years since I have heard the Vaselines. I remember picking up their record in the 90's because Kurt Cobain was a big fan. I don't remember digging them much back then, but I look forward to hearing them with new ears. Boojie Horsie
not too crazy about the latest Decemberists either, theres a lot of good stuff but you cant really pick a track by itself, it needs to be listened as a whole which i rarely have time to do. i really want to love it but nothing hooked me so far. Its probably going to be great live though-
sgoodcore
It was awesome to see it performed live in its entirety at SXSW.
casey
I like Hazards a great deal more than the Crane Wife. Also stoked for Vaselines. Will have to wait til payday, though.
murakami
I like Hazards a great deal more than the Crane Wife. agree with this. i went through a phase not long ago where i could not listen to anything else. it is a record that helps to know the story too. after about the third listen, i went to the wikipedia entry and it did a great job of explaining the characters and what is going on in each track

anders
Have only given Hazards two through-listens, and will probably skip it for a while. Ordered Bob Dylan a while ago, cause I've got all his studioalbums+. Might pick up Vaselines though, but not sure a 3xlp is needed in my end.
