coldsnap
or interpunk. Is it Revhq or Interpunk that doesn't check the ''Gift'' section when they send you a package? Cause I remember ordering from both years ago and had a nice surprise at the door, something like 20$ in customs fees but I can't remember which one did it. cj
i've never ordered from interpunk, but when i did order from revHQ i didnt have any customs charges.
dave4444
interpunk says on their order page to not ask them to check the gift box because they won't do it or some crap like that
cj
interpunk says on their order page to not ask them to check the gift box because they won't do it or some crap like that i dont get that. i once ordered from robotic empire and got charged duty and brokerage fees (65 bucks!) and the next time i ordered i asked them to put it as a gift and dont worry about including the invoice and it was no problem
tim
I've got hit by customs and duties on Interpunk orders in the past. I avoid them at all costs now.
nefariousfig
Yeah, Interpunk never checks off the "gift" box, so I've been dinged for custom charges a few times after ordering stuff from them. I now avoid placing any sort of remotely large order through them at all costs.
brennan
i would be worried about interpunk. I'm sure they declare the exact amount you pay. Most packages i get from a lot of other places are declared as gifts and the value is declared lower than it should be.
xlovecolouredx
hope you safe from tax, coldsnap. for me, it doesn't matter what the sender marked on customs declaration. most of vinyl packets of mine will make me sick from tax. free tax for imported vinyl.... coldsnap
Thanks for all your responses guys! I was about to order from Revhq but they charge me 15$ to ship 2 lp's, but that's a little too much for me. I guess i'll e-mail Virgil later to ask if he will carry the records I want. Last time I tried to put an order through their website, like 80% of the records I ordered were sold out so I guess they don't update their website but i'll e-mail them to see if they have the records I want in their store. crime
if you live in canada avoid interpunk. i've never placed an order with them where the shipping (duties etc included) didn't end up costing at leat $30.
