We will again be working with Ferret to license the vinyl for Maylene and the Sons of Disaster’s 3rd studio album. This will be the 2nd record that we have helped press for Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. We had previously released “II” which is now long out of print. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster’s ”III" LP will be pressed on 2 colors (333 on grey vinyl, 667 on Gold/Yellow vinyl. There will also be a limited edition 12 x 12 hand-numbered silkscreen that will accompany the grey and gold vinyl. 200 silk-screens will be printed (1-100 for the grey vinyl / 101 to 200 for the gold vinyl). The copies with the silk-screen will cost a little more than the copies without. The vinyl is expected to be finished by the end of September/early October. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster is a Southern rock band that formed in 2004 in Birmingham, Alabama and began touring the southern U.S. In 2005. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster signed to Mono Vs Stereo and released their self-titled debut album. In April 2006 it was announced that the band has signed to Ferret Records. Ferret released II in March of 2007. III was released on June 30th, 2009. Dallas Taylor is the most notable member of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. He was the original vocalist for the Christian post-hardcore band, Underoath. The band name and concept are based on the legend of the criminal gang of Ma Barker and her sons, noting that evil lifestyles will be met with "divine justice". From the Ferret site, "III is crap-kickin', clod-hopper stomping rock n' metal which will remind fans, critics and contemporaries why Maylene and the Sons Of Disaster have long sat atop the so-called Southern Fried Metalcore genre." About lineup changes before recording III, Dallas Taylor says, "The cool thing with having new guys is it's an open slate,". "We were able to do things that we weren't able to do before. Some songs were, vocally, way heavier for me and a chance to branch out and do different styles of vocals. It was a chance for us to do whatever we want and introduce the new guys with it. It was really cool." There will be a test pressing contest for this release. You will be entered to win by purchasing a copy of this album.
