desensitizedbyu
I don't go downtown too often, and when I do, it's for a show and then I leave, so I was wondering if any of you knew any good record stores in Chicago. I am going tomorrow so any suggestions would be great!
dietrootbeer
we were there a few months ago for the Small Brown Bike reunion. we found some pretty good ones. the one that stands out is Reckless Records. they have 2 or 3 locations all of which are worth checking out. i had some really good finds in the used sections. http://www.reckless.com/

scottheisel
Yeah, I bet Reckless will ship them to you if you ask (since they run a webstore too).

xjustinxschwierx
I'll post a full list of places and addresses tonight as it's too much to type out on my phone. I'll also put out an open invitation that if you're here and don't want to carry records home and you can find time to meet up with me, I'd gladly mail them to you. I can't guarantee anything in terms of free time. Most of my open time will probably come at night, when all the shops are closed. I am supposedly having my plane ticked and a better schedule of events dropped off in my office tomorrow, so when I know that I can better figure things out. I appreciate the offer though! Guest falloutcollapse
I've only been to Reckless and some place called Dave's Records or something in Lincoln Park. I liked both.
scottheisel
Check out Record Breakers. It just moved from the suburbs into Chicago proper, and shares a space with Reggie's Live, a new venue: http://www.recordbreakers.net/ http://www.reggieslive.com/
