cosmonaut
The massive snowbanks are finally gone, so I'm back to riding to work every day. I love riding bikes.
oakland
Word up. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I think is "when am I going to get to go for a ride." I work at home, so commuting isn't an option.
miso
I have this old mountain bike I'm trying to get rid of. I've had it since 2003, and I don't really ride over hideous shit anymore like I used to do to get to work. Also, something lighter to carry would be nice. It's a bitch to get through french doors! oakland
I'd recommend a steel bike. They make some very light steel tubing these days and nothing is as durable or rides quite like steel.

oakland
I'm confused and worried for you after seeing that post.
cosmonaut
Mine? Whatever, I fully back the statement about steel frames. Steel, as they say, is real.
pjaicomo
? What part of Oakland's post is giving you trouble? A perfectly good Lexington Steele joke is wasted on you people!

But now I get it. If he'd gone with Remington Steele, I'd have got that. Here's a couple photos of my Primus Mootry lugged steel road frame, under construction and finished. Now I just need to finish acquiring parts. Sooooo expensive.

cosmonaut
When I first replied to your post, I was at my office and for some reason my computer didn't display the image, so all I saw was a question mark. Why was the image of a black porn star blocked? I don't know. That's racist!
hankmurphy
Switching to a fixed can make you a stronger, faster rider. Does anyone here use feetbelts? I looove my feetbelts!
oakland
Those look cool. I'll have to try them. Also, I found these pedals recently and I'm all over this shit. http://whiteind.com/pedal.html
cosmonaut
Oakland, do you mess around with framesaver on that bike? I feel like I should be using that stuff once a year or so.
oakland
The guy that built it put a ton of it on the inside of the frame right before I picked it up. I don't know if I'm supposed to reapply it or what. I probably will considering I dropped $2K on the frame alone.
