kyle
Normally, I scour ebay in search of vinyl, but now I'm looking to build a decent system. I've just bought the first component of my new and improved system, a pair of Epos ELS-3 speakers. Next I plan on dumping my cash on a tube power amp and tube phono amp (pre-amp). Then, when I have all that I'll upgrade my turntable (thinking of getting a Rega P2). It wasn't the greatest deal, but I save at least $100 on these over a new set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140177456903&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=

kyle
Yeah, I check out CL fairly often for this stuff. I also like audiogon.com (like ebay/craigslist except for audio stuff only, has a rating system and everything). You can find some pretty damn good deals on used stuff. From what I've found, audio stuff loses 30-40% of its value when you open the box, so its great for buyers. Its pretty easy to find people selling a sweet $500 turntable thats only a few weeks/months old for $350 or less. I don't plan on buying anything new.
