STENCIL photo converter?

Recommended Posts

I tried:

"stencil photo effect"

"stencil maker"

"how to make stencils"

"stencil photo converter"

I also don't have photoshop, so "stencil photo converter" doesn't help. If anyone else knows the free program I am asking about that also blows it up to print on several pieces of paper, I'd appreciate the help.

i don't think this is what you're referring to, but this is pretty cool:

http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/

my college roommate and i made a couple of these once.

ALSO:

http://www.gimp.org/

use that instead of photoshop.

this helps a lot! I can't dl anything onto my work computer (which is where I am), so if I can figure out how to stencil-ize the image, I'm set.

Whats the stencil for? and do you just want it to look like a stencil or it to be physically cutable (as in no islands)

Either way i am happy to bang it through Photoshop for you, although depending on the size of the image i can't guarantee how good it will look printed that big because i only have a standard printer.

it's for new grill covers my bandmate and I are going to use (he has a 4x12 and I have a 4x10, so we're thinking 1-1/2ish feet square). and yes, I am trying to make it a stencil I can print out and cut, then probably use spray paint for.

we just want the image (no text): http://static.squidoo.com/resize/squidoo...._-_ gzhash3.jpg

if you can help, that would me AMAZING!

I've actually saved it out at 20" square. There's and EPS (in case you need to edit it...or have a friend edit it...probably wont need it), a PDF which you can open and print through Acrobat, and a JPG, which you should be able to print through ANY image editor. Chances are your computer already has Acrobat and that's going to be the safest easiest bet.

Dude, i don't turning it in to a stencil, i only asked because i was concerned of the edge quality but if you are cutting it out it doesn't matter.

I can do it in Photoshop if you want to use the Rasterbator, unless you want to take Scotterson up on his vector file.

I really don't think it would have looked good blown up that much. It would have been way rough. It only took me a minute to do, I hope I wasn't stepping on your toes!
