mcm1610
Anyone else watching this on the History Channel? Part one of twelve now. As a huge history buff, history major, and Social Studies teacher, I'm loving it. It's doing a great job of telling some of the 'other' stories and slipping in the glossed-over people. We're up to 1777 right now and it's badass. Can't wait for July to own this on DVD.
tanukichu
Sometimes I wish I had cable. This is one of these times.
mcm1610
Yea, if it weren't for the occasional thing like this and hockey, I wouldn't have cable.
thedavidescapeplan
I hope this series ends with "And we all got really fat."

mclz
I hope this series ends with "And we all got really fat." Part 12 can be the movie Wall-E
mcm1610
In the History.com/classroom part somewhere there's a guide for teachers that has the episode summaries. Parts 11+12 seem like they'll be stupid. The mini-series gets through the Great Depression and then just kinda has people ramble about what happened since then rather than act them out like they've been doing. mcm1610
Shit's balla. This is seriously a great history of the US. My history boner is raging right now. They've been nailing a lot of the overlooked details of the US's construction.
kurtz
I just watched the first few parts of this On Demand. I'm liking it a lot. Hopefully I can catch the new episode tonight. Some of the people they have doing commentary have me rolling my eyes though. Does anyone really care what Michael Strahan likes about Abraham Lincoln?
