counterfiction
i disagree again. CNS was a decent record but not NEARLY as good as Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest. son, i loved you at your darkest is one of my favourites of all time. but this thread is about 2007... once T.J. left, i knew they weren't going to be as good. but still... i think they pulled it off. i think the record as a whole would have been better if they spread the first four tracks (the most solid tracks on the record, other than Timothy) throughout the rest of the album. it had a really bad sequencing problem
riddle350
The As Cities Burn cd was WAY over-produced as well. Everything just sounded too clean.

Everything just sounded too clean. really? i never thought of that when i was listening... both albums need to be on vinyl. I just thought it could have sounded a lot better. It had that overly digital sound that a lot of stuff has now adays. I thought the guitars needed to be more edgy and the screams needed more depth. flatlinemole
the better 'scream' left the band... which is disappointing! i guess i agree with how 'less' edgy the overall album was. the fact that the band came out with a new album pleasantly suprised me...
