ronniethebear
I didn't even get close to the merch table, because 1. It was wayyyy too crowded, and 2. I could see the $30 price tag on FF shirts from a distance and thought "no fucking way."
patron
Am!'s set was pretty much all new songs. it was alot of stuff off of new wave, and two songs off clarity. I asked warren about it, he said every couple shows they'll throw in pints, but for the most part, they are trying to push new wave. that is all they are selling at the shows too. FFFFFF. So I guess I'll be happy if I get one or two AETC songs in there. Also sucks about the merch, I was hoping to pick up the WPFP 12".
cadetapplesauce
did AM! have to match merch prices for the foos?
ronniethebear
I didn't see their prices, but I'm sure they had to jack them up at least a little bit because large venues always take a cut.
ericheartsu
yeah, for the most part that ususally how it works. i remember hearing stories about how small hardcore bands would go on tour with slayer, and their shirt/cd prices could not be lower then slayer's. Sometimes the bands would play for free on those tours, and then they'd never sell any merch! what a whacky world when music and business collide! ITS BANANAS! steventangent
I've seen bands sell merch "under the table" on account of that kind of shit too.

kirbs84
Man I really wish I could have been there. I was going to go, but having to be up for work at 5 the next two mornings made it not possible.

kirbs84
aw man. you should've. I know...I'm kinda regretting it. I've seen JEW and AM multiple times, but it would have been sweet seeing this tour... Foo Fighters are definitely on my list of bands to see.
