nico
I am looking for a Minor Threat live LP it comes in an inner sleeve only with a rectangular sticker on it which is around 3 by 7 inches with an ugly computer font. I think the live set was recorded in DC, probably 1983. I remember seeing it first for sale somewhere around 2004/2005. Possible pressed in Germany. Offer cash. benchwarmer
I believe it's called "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White"
nico
If you are talking about this record: This is not the record I am looking for, at least not in this thick printed sleeve. I remember it being just a inner sleeve or maybe a flimsy white outer sleeve with a cut out for the label.

xxxoutofstepxxx
How's it going Nico? Just when I thought I'd heard of all the Minor Threat releases, you find another one!
derkwithano
I saw this in Philadelphia last weekend. I had never seem it before! It has Ian Makaye on the front with a mic in hand. Some live shot. It had my favorite song "Cashing In" on it too! If this is rare I'm pretty fucking bummed I didn't get it :-/ I opted to buy a Bob Dylan record for $15, which someone was selling on here for like $5 a few days later
nico
Always busy, I found a bunch of rare and non-rare Minor Threat/Dischord releases recently. Will be posting a few updates on my blog in a few weeks. I really regret not picking up this release when I had the chance, first it was everywhere, several distros carried it, it was on eBay.de a lot and also some web only distros had it long after it wasn't available anymore in the regular distros. I was stupid enough not to pick it up and now they all disappeared, really weird. Thus far no luck finding it.
nico
Awesome thanks I remember now, that it had indeed a picture of Ian on it.
derkwithano
it looked SOMETHING like this, but I swear it showed more of his torso on the cover I saw...it wasn't such a closeup. I was so pumped because I had never seen Cashing In on vinyl prior to this one. I would love to have the studio version to spin if it's on any other release? nico
That was definitely the picture used on the sleeve. The sticker on a inner sleeve thing I said matches with what you have seen in the store?

xxxoutofstepxxx
Nico: I just saw this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/DRI-86-Minor-Threat-....item27b7c78dd e . It's a live cassette of Minor Threat/DRI, and I don't remember seeing it in your collection. Chris
nico
@Chris, thanks for the heads up, I noticed it myself, but this is where I draw the line. I am not going to pay 25 dollar for a home dubbed cassette with a home made sleeve. To easy to bootleg, make your own variations etc. Definitely not a real pressing or a substantial number made to qualify as an commercial product. Cashing In is the last song on Out Of Step, or were you looking for a different version?
nico
Yup, it is unlisted on LP, but it is there. The 1st press sounds exact the same as on the Discography cd. Latter presses of the LP have a slightly different recording and mix.
