youmightbewrong
I called my FYE to see if they started carrying vinyl and they literally laughed at me.
serum7
The one near me recently quadrupled their selection. It's a pretty respectable section now with a lot of new titles. Prices are pretty standard (basically MSRP), but really less than I would expect at an FYE.
GradedOnACurve
The FYE in Philly had a lot of vinyl...but of course is overpriced and stacked VERY poorly on shelves. Most of the shelves were collapsing too... What was so bad about how they have theirs stacked? The LPs in the cubby holes look fine, if not a little tightly packed. The cubby holes which are diagonal and placed so that they face up just scream "seam rips," though. I don't live in Philly but I do hope that you are right and they fixed however they stocked their LPs because while flipping through their selection I tried to help them out by making certain rows stand upright... raidenradio
FYE also uses the practices of putting CD's in protective "traps" that prevent shoplifting. All their CD's? No. Not all. Just rap and hip-hop. You know how only fans of rap and hip-hop are shoplifters. ------------* The more you racism!
mindovermatter
I have gotten quite lucky and scored some decent records on sale at FYE - you have to be pretty diligent to make it happen, but I got a copy of Freelance Whales' "Weathervanes" for like $9.
