I had to take off for a few weeks, reasons elaborated on below, and now the label is back on track. I have some represses, new distro goodies and some records that are almost out of stock. THOU EUROPEAN TOUR I. DEAD WEIGHT There have been many a long day and late night for me over the last few weeks. From April 17th to April 23rd I worked alongside some of the most passionately creative people I've ever known to produce a film called Dead Weight. This is a story I co-wrote and co-directed with my close friend John Pata, co-produced with friends Lee Marohn and Dan Kiggins and shot by cinematographer Travis Auclair. We have spent the last 18 months of our lives preparing for this week of filming; writing, re-writing, casting, location scouting, creating special effects & props (w/artists Ben Larson, Sam Lenz and Erich Polnow), and enlisting (unbeknownst to us at the time) an unbelievably dedicated crew. The result of this single week of filming is a project that, so far, I am endlessly proud of. More so than any other project or creation I've been a part of in my life. We still have about 30 pages of script to film, which we plan to finish up in June. John has already begun editing together what we have shot, and cut together a teaser trailer. It won't tell you much about the story, but you get a foundation for the feel we're trying to get across. There's still a lot of post-production to go through, but we're getting there.
