oakland
Juts got this E-mail: Hey all, Sorry for another email intrusion, but you know we only send one out when it's something important, and we had a feeling AQ customers would definitely think this important. C'mon FOUR new super limited Boris releases?!?!? Yeah, we thought so... FOUR new Boris releases, each ultra limited, sort of pricey and of course beautiful and amazing. But due to the limited nature of these, and how expensive they are, we're taking pre-orders for the next few days to determine how many to order. And just to be clear, pre-order means, once we have you down for it, you will be committed to purchasing it. That said, we can't 100 percent guarantee we'll get all the copies we order, but we'll do our best. If you want any or all of these, just send an email to [email protected]. If you're a returning mailorder customer, your info is already on file and we'll put you down for the records you want.. If you're a new mailorder customer, we'll have to arrange to get all your crucial info, address, phone number, credit card information... So what the heck are we talking about? Check it out: ___________________________________________________ BORIS WITH MICHIO KURIHARA Rainbow 2lp/dvd/box First up is the super deluxe Japanese version of the BORIS WITH MICHIO KURIHARA Rainbow record, this version is a super fancy 'box' containing the Rainbow lp, an EXTRA lp, with two unreleased tracks, a dvd (featuring a video clip of "Rainbow), a 60 page photobook bound in cloth and with a handmade cover, all housed in a deluxe slip cover. Sounds fancy huh?, well it is, and the price reflects it, right around $200, probably a little more, depending on the shipping. This is the most expensive of the bunch, so PLEASE don't order it unless you're sure you want one. ___________________________________________________ BORIS vs STUPID BABIES GO MAD Damaged 10"/dvd Split record between our beloved Boris, and Japanese weirdo space rockers Stupid Babies Go Mad. SBGM do a cover of Boris' "Ibitsu" and Boris cover SBGM's "Double Vision". 10" vinyl picture disc, comes with a 70 minute live dvd, all housed in a kick ass looking cover. Not sure on the price of this one, but as with most Boris stuff, probably pretty expensive, looks like in the $30 neighborhood, but again depends on shipping and all that. LIMITED TO 1500, so gone before you know it. _______________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________ WATA / AI ASOU She's So Heavy split 7" / photo book Two songs, Wata's side is a soft and whispery hush, a gorgeous ballad with an explosive finish (featuring ALL of Boris as well as Michio Kurihara), the other track is from the unknown to us combo Ai Asou, who offer their own take on King Crimson's "Islands"! Gorgeously packaged of course, with a full color 60 page photo book, packed with super professional, ultra striking photos that look like they could have come from some weird fashion magazine. ALSO LIMITED TO 1500, won't last long. And also looks to be in the $25-$30 price range. _______________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________ BORIS WITH MERZBOW Rock Dream Live 2cd Another massive matchup between these two legendary volume dealers. No idea what to expect, other than it's live, it's 2cds, and will probably be really really noisy. Not out until October, but thought we might as well get pre-orders for this one as well. Not sure how limited it is, but should be about $35 again depending on the shipping from overseas. _______________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________ So there you go. Four kick ass new titles to tickle your ears and drain your coffers. Please let us know which ones you want or need as soon as you can. We're going to try and place our order in the next few days. We may get a few extra copies of each if we can, so even if you get this late, feel free to check and see if we have any left (we might even manage to list one or some of these on the AQ list proper) but if you really want these and don't want to miss out. let us know ASAP! Thanks as always. We love you all. And we'll be back next friday with AQ New Arrivals List #274!! Lots of love from your devoted AQ staff -- Andee, Cup, Jim, Allan, Jason, Irwin, Scott, Christine, Pam, Lauren, Matt, Sally, Antaeus and Cameron

robotnerd
man, i really wish boris would just put out another album of just their own solid non-collabartive material.
jhulud
I have always been curious to hear Boris' music...never have....but I have seen their releases and marveled at how cool and visually compelling they are...
Guest vito
man, i really wish boris would just put out another album of just their own solid non-collabartive material. It's kind of sad they haven't done this in almost a year. Boris is a great band but none of their releases as of late have made me that excited, the last one i actually bought was Altar. All the collaborations and live releases have gone a bit stale. They really need to record some new solo stuff or release Flood and Amplifier Worship on vinyl.
