File under pop punk... http://johnwilkesboo...s.storenvy.com/ Like Bat's first full length, Midwest Nothing, has been out for a few weeks but necessitates a listen if you haven't yet. Angry, snotty, depressed, catchy pop punk from the Chicago suburbs. This record has gotten a lot of attention lately, and rightfully so, it's pretty flawless. Listen to it here: http://likebats.bandcamp.com/ I'm so happy to announce the first full length from Florida's Rational Anthem, Sensitivity Training. Dual female/male vocals over some very catchy riffs. Band has really matured into it's own over the last 5 years. Catch them on tour this summer! Both have a great young pop punk sound that's kind of their own. Strong City is fast and melodic, while Dead North is catchy and heartfelt. It's an opera of self-hate. Catchy, catchy self-hate by a band whose pedigree is more impressive than any other pop punk bands. Ex Ergs, Rivethead, Steinways? 12" with 10 minute a-side and 30 second b-side. My favorite record ever, probably. Mikey once told me it's the best thing he's ever played on.
