Thomas_Nassiff
http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/products/503432 http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/products/503432 So yeah, several hours late on my own post here, but it's been a hell of a day. We're trying to move the warehouse to a new office space so we've been looking at places all around the city. First off: This is my favorite Paper + Plastick release of the year so far. If you like Sunny Day Real Estate, Counting Crows, Cheap Girls, Pavement, Superchunk, '90s-indie-alt-rock (paging Scott Heisel), or guitar solos, you are going to dig this record. It blows me away. Now then, the next important and most interesting thing: The front cover of this LP jacket is a fucking screen-printed mirror. You can see the album art below, and that weird old baby weird face is screen printed onto a 12" mirror, which serves as the front cover of the LP jacket. Pat is going to take some pictures of the test pressing of the mirror on Wednesday and post them on our social media and in here. It looks pretty badass. The street date for the release is the end of September because of how long it takes to screen-print the mirrors. The vinyl is already done, though, and these are the pressing numbers: 100 - White 100 - Black 300 - Black and White Mix Now, because of the special circumstances that come along with shipping fucking MIRRORS in LP mailers, we are restricting this product to being purchased ONLY on its own. Don't order anything else along with this. (If you REALLY want to order something else with this, just send thomas at paperandplastick.com an email and tell me you're from this forum. I like you guys and we can try to work something out.) The real reason we're doing this is because we want to heavily wrap the mirrors in bubble wrap, which will take up the entire mailer for the most part. Even ordering three records could make the package too big for a normal mailer with the extra padding. If you try to order multiple things, we will just refund you for everything that isn't Jr. Jug and just mail you this haha. http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/products/503432 http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/products/503432 http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/products/503432 As usual, leave your questions here and I'll get back as soon as I can. Been crazy busy which is why I haven't been able to get back to some people about What's Eating Gilbert or Jon Snodgrass (now with us and shipping), or Flatfoot 56 or Tin Horn Prayer / Rob Huddleston split (currently on a freight truck toward us). AlexH.
$15 is pretty reasonable for a, uh, mirrored jacket. Glad they have new music coming out. Someone want to sell me a copy of Ghost Poison?

AlexH.
Well, I guess I just assumed it was since Virgil was pressing absolutely everything he could get his hands on at the time. A google search tells me that it probably wasn't

PatrickLHaynes
Favorite thing we've put out this year also. Don't really hear SDRE in their sound at all lol but the other bands mentioned definitely paint a good picture of their sound. The mirrors look really awesome too. Thomas_Nassiff
Okay here is a TEST RUN of the mirror. The final screenprint image won't really look like this, but I just am trying to give you guys a ballpark idea of what the gist of it is. It's hard to take a picture of a mirror....it reflects everything....
jimmyw247
Did these ship yet?
Thomas_Nassiff
Nope. The screenprinted mirror you see above got rejected. We got a final proof so they are being screen-printed for real this time. The reason they took longer than expected is because whereas it was originally going to be one mirror as the front cover, we are now doing two mirrors - one for the back cover as well. So they're taking a bit longer to manufacture (double the mirror order) but thankfully they're in the last step of manufacturing now out west.
