hookedonsonics
Dunno if this was ever posted here, but this is probably my fave if not one of my fave records of this year, Halifax's Kestrels have always been putting out some quality stuff (a couple 7"s and one 12" prior), but this record is just amazing - 90s indie rock inspired rave-ups with a heaping splash of Creation-style shoegaze. You can snap up a copy here - http://www.sonicunyon.com/records/artists/%20kestrels I really think a bunch o' people here would dig it. Stream the whole record here, worth a listen: http://kestrels.bandcamp.com/ Apparently they're running out of copies quick, so hop on this if you can. Rad dudes, the band I play in toured with them this summer and they're playing SXSW in March too. Booking a tour of the US to Austin beforehand too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZaKHckwVOg&feature=youtu.be

hookedonsonics
stupid shipping from canada turns a $15 record into a $28 purchase. not sure its doable Just mentioned this to the guys - their label has good distro in the states apparently (thru The Orchard), so if the shipping is outta hand, you should be able to pick it up at your local indie store. Canada Post is STUPID expensive for shipping
