thejesseb
Thinking about getting a second player (One for home and one for apartment at school) and I found one of these on craigslist for $100. Looks to be in great shape. Anyone know if it's worth that?
thebiglebowski
I can't speak to the quality of the turntable but seeing this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Technics-Turntable-SL-1600-mk2-Quartz-w-Preamp-and-Shure-WHLB-Cartridge-/181084069047?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item2a29739cb7 I'd say it's pretty safely a good deal. thebiglebowski
Actually my bad. Seems like that listing may have been pushed higher by some accessories. Still seems to sell for $150 to $250 steady on ebay. It's a respected brand. I like it.
octave
I have one. Had it for about 15 years now and it's still chugging away. Bought it for $150 then at a pawn shop. Great table. It has an auto sensing platter so if you don't use a mat it will automatically go to the beginning of a 7" 10" or 12". Although, that feature doesn't work so well for clear records. Let me know if you have any questions about it. thejesseb

thejesseb
Looks like the guy never responded. Gonna shoot him another email but looks like someone got to it before I did. Thanks for the info though!
