Looking to upgrade over my crosley(budget included)

Recommended Posts

I've been using a crosley CR6001a that I received as a gift a two christmas ago. I realized it doesn't really sound very good, and now the platter wobbles so much it scares me to play my records on it. With buying a new record and having it skip on the first play through, I decided it's time to move on and buy a new turntable.

I have some old speakers lying around, which I'm content with using for now. Also, with my budget being around $200-$300, I've been looking at some players with a built in preamp.

Thoughts on this?

Open to all suggestions and grateful for any help.

EDIT: thoughts on this if still available?

Def will be a better upgrade, all depends on how much you have to spend. I got my Pro-Ject set up for around $400 w/ TT & Amp. The Audio Technica will def do the job and not be just another TT shelf knickknack like the former.

Also you could rub turds on your records to play them....would sound better than the Crosley :P
