Cleaning Supplies

Recommended Posts

So yeah, a little lazy to look through things, but I'm looking for the most simple cleaning supplies that I may need. Definitely want to get a brush, but I'm trying not to spend that much money for wet cleaning unless it's either super necessary or super cheap. Let me know what you guys suggest.

You have over 1200 posts in here and aren't sure if wet cleaning is necessary?!?

MoFi brush $20 (in a pinch, you could use lint free cotton pads, but the MoFi brush material really gets into the grooves)

Cleaning solution of 3 parts distilled water ($1.50/gal) and 91% isopropyl alcohol ($1.50/16 oz)

Rinsing solution of distilled water (could use a microfiber paint brush to spread rinse water)

Lint-free cotton pads to soak up distilled water rinse $4/pack of like 50 pads

Dry with microfiber towels ($10/8 towel pack)

Dish rack or some other rack to let records air dry $10

Poly sleeves ($10/50 sleeves at Sleeve City)  Do not use paper sleeves

Done and pretty reasonably priced

Don't half-ass cleaning records.  You'll just be wasting time.

Tons of threads and youtube videos on this topic for ideas.
