twelvetwenty
Hopefully someone can help me. The "b-side/rarity/demo" thread made me dig out a really old computer and turn it on. I have a ton of music on it and I can't transfer any of it. The computer has a floppy drive but the disks aren't nearly big enough to transfer anything so I tried one of the million flash drives I have but the computer doesn't allow me to use anything. I attempted to download a driver from some random site to make the flash drive compatible with Windows 95 (even though I think that all of them say they are only compatible with 98 - XP) with no favorable results. Does anyone know of a way that I can make a flash drive work with 95 or if there is any other method that I may be able to try?
AlexH.
If you've got an ethernet port on it, just hook it up to the internet and upload it somewhere. Otherwise, you could try pirating a copy of Windows 98, but that might be a lot of effort just to get some music.
twelvetwenty
The computer in question is from 94 or 97 or something... Would Windows 98 even be compatible with this thing?
thomas
Reformat the flash drive to FAT32. Put the drive in, open My Computer, right click the drive and go to format.
twelvetwenty
I changed it to FAT32 and it still doesn't work. Are there updates I need before I plug into the older computer?

thesupervillain
Is there a way to format to FAT16? I don't know if newer Windows computers will still let you do that, but it's worth a shot. The first version of Windows 95 doesn't support FAT32, so maybe that's why you can't read it.
