I work in a factory pressing records on ancient machinery and would love to knock ideas around with other techs as far as SMT info Hamilton info- problems i've seen and the fixes i've made to keep production going - and art, i make some pretty sweet looking records and i would love to hear about and/or see what other techs are doing. thanks and enjoy the music Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mcpherson123 Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 I am not a record press operator but since you brought up that you are, I must ask: what precautions does an operator take, if any, to avoid records being pressed off-center? I'm sure you're aware of how awfully the pitch can bend and shift during playback when a record is pressed off center and I've come across my fair share of affected records.
