SophC
Hi. I've just bought a new record player and my records aren't turning properly. It only has problems when the stylus is down. It is a simple player so I can't adjust the arm. Can anyone help please?
David Loyd
Need more info. Brand of player and model number would be very helpful.
SophC
Sorry new to forums. Its a steepletone portable retro player. New. Srp025.
Tardcore
did you try adjusting the tone knob? crank it up. on a serious note, you are not likely going to get good results with that player. However, if you provide better description of the problem, you may be able to resolve your immediate issue. All I got right now is that records are "sticking" (???!) and that they aren't "turning properly" (?)
SophC
Thanks for your response. I only wanted the player just to play records in my room for myself. And the problem is that basically when the arm is down and the stylus is on the vinyl it starts to stop turning properly so the record sticks. I can't think of what it is so am going to take it back. Thanks though.
David Loyd
Yeah if it's brand new, I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it. Just get a new one. And welcome to the boards! danionly
