Roandy55
http://www.hindsband.com/ The band have recently been officially signed by Lucky Number in the UK and Mom + Pop in the US, but so far this has only been announced via their Twitter page. Although they have replied to enquires saying it will be sent worldwide, checkout currently comes up as US only. Looks in the photo like it could also be numbered, and includes the new track Chili Town.
themightychew
Yeah, a bit annoying that they keep saying they'll send worldwide (I asked), but you only get US options (and presumably shipping prices) when checking out. If I get clarity I'll post.
Roandy55
http://www.roughtrade.com/albums/96618 300 copies are now available in Europe via a Rough Trade exclusive. Scheduled for release on 2nd October, although the band have previously posted on twitter to say their debut album should also be due for release in October. It does also have a Lucky Number catalogue number, so may possibly be separate from the US version. Update: Link is now no longer available. Looks to have sold out, but It might be interesting to see if any more surface over the next few weeks.
themightychew
Also available at Piccadilly Records - a far superior store imo http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/prod/Hinds-VeryBestOfHindsSoFar-LuckyNumber-104972.html Only £6.99 there, compare with Rough Trade's *cough* exclusive for £8.99 (which looks to be sold out now). ExtraFox
Piccadilly's doesn't say 'white' anywhere. But yes, avoid RT unless there is no other option. They are always the most expensive place to get things in the UK.
themightychew
It did say white vinyl, until they pulled it from pre-order Distro just told them they won't be getting it in after all. Sucks very bad.
maximuss
i ordered from rt, i really hope they will be getting this
themightychew
This is turning into a bit of a farce now. Spoke to Piccadilly Records (PR) and they said that someone at the distro was getting a severe kicking for offering that release to stores as it was a Rough Trade exclusive. Side issue is that PR believed the RT stock was left over tour merch, so wouldn't have been 300 anyway (? unconfirmed). I cancelled my RT order when PR put their PO up, which I'm now gutted about as RT has sold out. RT won't reinstate my PO even though I emailed them like 20 minutes later. Standard type of response from RT tbh. But then good news, www.hindsband.com has been updated to include international shipping (yay!), but shipping to the UK is $24.50 per item (wtaf?!). I give up. I'll just wait for the LP.
LeeKaye
I got through the ordering processing until I saw the 25 too. Bailed.
