Been going a tiny bit crazy recently, as I usually do before I head back home for a period of time....
Against Me! - True Trans 7"
Cheatahs - Cheatahs LP
Deerhunter - Monomania LP test pressing (!!! super excited to add this one to my Deerhunter stuff, it's my first test press for one of my "main band" collections)
The National - Alligator green LP
The National - High Violet purple 2xLP
Radiohead - OK Computer oknotok blue 3xLP
Radiohead - Kid A 2xLP
Wolf Alice - Creature Songs 10"
Wolf Alice - You're a Germ 7"
And I have a little bit of extra time in Manchester this coming week after I see Radiohead... definitely gonna keep an eye out for some shops because I'm weak and have very little self-control.

If I may put my two cents in, I actually celebrate their entire discography and find that the last half of Pablo Honey is fantastic 90's alt-rock.
I'll wholeheartedly agree with this, comparing it to the rest of the albums is pretty much apples and oranges. Blow Out is one of my favorite Radiohead tracks, no shame.
I can understand why many people rank TKOL on the lower end, but I'm emotionally attached to it since it was the first album I experienced the release of as a fan and I saw them for the first time on that tour. Pretty much the only good memory I have of high school lmao.

Creep was the first thing I heard when I was probably 10/11 in a YouTube video. I remember liking the guitar crunch and never really thought about it again. Bought OKC on a school trip in 8th grade and my life changed forever it's my ride or die album yadda yadda yadda. Anywho:
OKC > Kid A > The Bends > In Rainbows > AMSP > HTTT > TKOL > Amnesiac > Pablo Honey

The Horrors' fifth studio album is being released on September 22nd, 2xLP with signed print available from the official store above. Doesn't look like there will be regular and deluxe vinyl versions like Luminous had, just the regular double LP. This is also their first album (aside from Strange House, of course) not released by XL.
First single "Machine" was released a few weeks ago:

Dammit, of course this comes out during the two months I don't have a UK address. 40 bucks is on the pricey side for me right now but I could probably swing the 30 bucks from the link above, this would look so good with the TOTBL splatter from NC.
Edit: Shipping from Recordstore to the States is literally only a couple pounds more than UK delivery... alright, I give in. $39 total.

Boomkat shipping notice revived, this will be a great thing to come back to after seeing them in Dublin last night. I Promise was especially lovely.

Peripheral Vision has become one of my favorite releases of the past few years so I'll definitely give this a go.

Still plenty of everything at Oxford Street as of noon.

My friend went to the Oxford Street store for vinyl day last year and said it was kind of dire (think he meant the selection) and not much busier than it usually is on a weekend. And he got there about 4pm, still got what he wanted. I dunno, but it seems like they don't advertise it much as I only found out about it AFTER the event last time.
Thanks! Not gonna go out of my way to get up early for this then.
-
I'm planning on braving Oxford Street HMV tomorrow since I really want that Suede LP (already have the black repress but it's one of my all-time favorite albums and I'm a sucker), has anyone actually done this event before? It's one of the bigger pressings at 2k so I'm not *super* worried but I'm gonna try to get there in the morning just in case.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

Finally used all the Bull Moose points I'd been accumulating to get the night version for half off. I was at the secret show at Primavera this past weekend and it was straight up magic. Unfortunately the crowd for the main stage show was absolutely unbearable and I had to leave about four songs in, but I'm gonna try to get a ticket for the Boston show instead, high prices aside. They're worth it.
-
Just arrived in Barcelona for Primavera Sound. Between the amazing experience I had last year and the fact that studying in London made it a lot easier for me to get here, I had to do it again.
-
I also had a stack piling up for years and years until I finally just started sticking them on the side of my Expedit.

Finished this Deerhunter-inspired dude by Jack Goks in London yesterday! This is my fourth piece but my first one that's full color and bigger than hand-sized. Pretty big milestone for me since I'm diabetic and have always been warned about getting tattooed, but I've learned that as long as I take it slow and baby the shit out of it in between it's totally doable. (Tegaderm has been a lifesaver for this!) Background/leaves are healed in this pic and the deer and flowers are fresh.
Can't wait to finish healing so I can get some non-iPhone shots. We're already discussing doing my first highly visible piece on my arm in the fall which will be another huge milestone.

And with that, all releases have been taken off of the Polyvinyl webstore.
-
I was able to cancel my BSM order last night before it got sent out, but I have the tapes sitting back home in the States from Polyvinyl which I'm gonna want nothing to do with now. They were also one of my favorite up-and-coming acts and everything about this is awful. With all the shit that's gone down over the last 24 hours I think it's pretty safe to say they're done for, and rightly so.

I only just got rid of my black copy a couple weeks ago and have the NC blue, but this also is one of my all-time favorites, starburst sounds nice and I dig that merch bundle...

I ended up sticking with Boomkat, I was a few points off to get it half price at BM (dammit) and Boomkat ended up being a few bucks cheaper with shipping to my UK dorm. But god damn, these suckers are flying. It's still early in the day in the States so hopefully more will be popping up over the next few hours.

Good call, thanks D. Mine says it's the colored version.
FWIW - Bullmoose just said they'll hopefully have details on the Indie version (same blue I'm assuming) for this soon.
Ooooh, if this comes though I'll probably go with BM instead. I have a bunch of points saved up to get something special half price and this would be the perfect thing to use 'em on.
-
No X on my receipt, paid by card.
-
Ok, yeah, not waiting on the pretty blue one. Hopefully that'll hold me over for a bit.
-
I have an original '97 pressing but this album is so near and dear to me that I gotta get that box set. But yeah... Lift, Big Boots AND I Promise. Hoooly shit.
-
I picked up the blue in store at Banquet today, seemed like they still had plenty left. Should still be available online.
