Well dammit, after not loving the last few albums but loving the first 2... I really feel like they might be back on the right track for me, kinda stoked now

Holy fucking balls, this just got me crazy excited. I'm really digging the new track, the PBTT tour is easily the show I'm most looking forward to this year. Anyone sure of bundles or deluxe editions?

Never gave this album a chance back in the day, strictly because she's revolting to me and seems to be a gigantic piece of shit also. One thing is for sure though, it'll sound good MOV has never done me wrong.

These guys are good friends of ours and truly deserve some love. They just put their first 7" up for preorder via Crowquill Records, it's a limited pressing of 250 on Coke Bottle Clear.. Hopefully some of you can get into this, I'll leave a link to listen to one of the tracks from it. Let me know what you guys think, other than that...Enjoy!

I won free tickets to go see metallica about 2 or 3 years ago. Let me first start off that I've never been into metallica whatsoever but I went anyways because you just can't beat free. They were fucking INCREDIBLE live. I wouldn't call myself a fan now seeing how I still don't ever listen to them but I'd go see them live again in a heartbeat.
Its weird, two of the most incredible shows I've ever seen are by two bands I NEVER listen to. Metallica being the first and Slipknot being the other. I went to see Coheed when they were on that slipknot tour and I enjoyed slipknot 100 times more than coheed.
Yeah I'm sure both those shows were spectacles, and I do agree that you can't beat free. However, I'm just using Metallica as a reference for playing the same music for a majority of their careers. Anything after Garage Inc. was just the same repetitive MTV/FM Radio Rock.

But to me, hype is the worst possible thing that can happen to a band... People start to expect certain things from you and who the fuck wants to play the same music night after night after night for 10+ years? Oh yeah... Metallica...

What would you say is a band or album that you just can't get into? No matter how many friends or critics adore it, it just doesn't click for you.
I have two bands that immediately come to mind.
Dads and Pity Sex.
To me that says... Bands you don't enjoy and others do...

Thrice is pretty up there, too, as far as hype goes. I still enjoy their discography, and rank their songwriting and musicianship higher than a lot of bands that people get stoked on here at VC. But. Yeah.
I thought the purpose of this thread was to list bands that you don't like and are over hyped... How can you put thrice or some of the other bands you listed above on your list if you enjoy some of their discography?

My jacket is in great shape but the only time so far that I've player side B, there were about 10 pops/skips at the beginning. I haven't had a chance to clean it yet, but hopefully that takes care of it. Anybody else have that issue? At least I can rest assured HT has good customer service, but hopefully they held a few copies back or otherwise I'll be waiting for the 2nd press.
Mine sounds really fantastic, no skipping/popping or surface noise.

Pretty sure the big debate early on were that these were all just pressed from the CD masters.
So spinning Whatever I Say is Royal Ocean right now and to me it sounds remixed or remastered. No flatness in the symbols and the vocals aren't so unbalanced this time around. Maybe I'm nuts but to me it sounds much better
